I have a problem with a buyer fro Norway. Even though my auctions state that I only accept payment through a Paypal account and NOT a credit card, he s used his credit card. I gave him instructions on how to cancel the payment... "Click on the My Account tab
Click on the History subtab
Click on the Cancel button in the Action column of the transaction in question
Click Cancel Payment,
he says he tried that and that ther is no button to "cancel".
Please tell me how to remedy this. My account says "unclaimed", but his credit card said "completed".

the only way he can cancel his payment is when he sent the payment to an unconfirmed email address??
you should be the one who return his payment by hitting the refund/return button.
if he has no fund in his paypal account, how do you expect him to send fund ?
also i dont believe recipient can tell if the payment is from fund or credit card, paypal collects fee no matter what source of fund it is,plus with intl transaction, there is additional fee.
may be the other vendio members can shed some light on this.
how can your account said unclaimed when it has already landed in your account??

If the buyer doesn't have funds in his Paypal account, then he can't pay me through Paypal. I don't force people to use Paypal, but I only accept payments through a Paypal account. Many buyers have money in their account which they use to pay for an auction. Paypal notified me of the credit card payment and stated that I may only accept it if I upgrade my account....which I do not wish to. There is NO charge for accepting cash payments from an account. I DO accept other forms of payment..Bidpay..C2it..money order, check..etc. The buyer could have used any of those.
Anyhow..it doesn't matter now. I was able to "deny" the payment.

The buyer can't cancel the payment because it was sent to a valid email address registered with Paypal.

YOU can deny the payment, and send it back to him, or leave it alone and it'll go back on its own in 30 days.
