Dear Readers (and Damon),
My account was restricted this weekend, very mysteriously. I immediately faxed in the required documents. NOW, two days later, my account seems to have been restricted *more* based on some accusations that strange things are happening with my associated checking account. As far as I can tell, the only strange thing that has happened with my checking account is that the last chunk of money I transferred from Paypal to my checking account has now been "reversed". I sent an inquiry to paypal, which sent me back an autoresponse saying that I needed to "add and confirm" a checking account to the paypal account to clear up the whole mess. Oh irony of ironies!! Since the restriction was theoretically based on "unusual activity" with my associated checking account.

Quite so! It was resolved and I *really really* appreciate the speed and special attention you gave to the issue. I would love it if you guys could figure out a way to ensure security without shutting people off. For instance, you didn't need to restrict our accounts to get our attention. If you had questions about who we were and what we did, you could have asked us to send in more documents *before* shutting down our Paypal accounts. Would have been happy to help you!
