Why do people, who are against women having a choice about their bodies (as in pro-choice), keep calling it pro-abortion? What's to be gained by showing such ignorance?

Probably because calling it being pro-abortion rather than pro-choice makes it sound worse and it better fits their agenda. They will never understand that it's about "choice" not "abortion".

Hi Cheryl! Where have you been hiding?

But, if someone has to use ignorance to further their cause, doesn't it make them look just as ignorant and cancel out anything valid they might have to offer?

Between work, a Senate campaign, eBay and the roofing that's finally being finished on this house, I've been pretty busy! In total, the new roof cost us almost $5,000! We thought we could wait on the back side of the house, but when I started to have to put pots, pans and bowls strategically around the room, we figured it was time.

Besides, I've been much more calm and relaxed since I've been making myself scarce!

What is ignorant is anyone thinking anti-abortion is against a woman making a choice. they just don't want that to be one of the choices she has.
There are many other "choices" that a woman can make without abortion being one of them.

That being said, what is really ignorant is people who think that abortion is anything other than a woman being to lazy to use a different type of birth control.

I think, because I believe it is a baby at conception, it is wrong. It depends on when you view the "fetus" as a baby.

Don't get me wrong...if the mother's life is in danger (and I don't mean way of life), in cases of incest or rape, I might argue for it on a case by case basis. But abortions should not be used as a form of birth control.

A woman's choice could be to use birth control, put the child up for adoption or abstinence. (BOBs* can easily be purchased on feePay.)

But that is my opinion. Which I am entitled to. That I do not necessarily agree with some does not make me wrong.

ROFLOL at your B.O.B.'s twig. LOL LOL

Some describe pro-abortion because they, LIKE ME, believe IF you support ALLOWING abortions...you are 'for' them....pro...them.

Others choose to make a distinction between pro-abortion...those FOR abortions....and choice those not necessarily being FOR abortion...but for allowing women to have the choice.

I believe the one who asks this question over and over again....is the one I'd describe as the 'ignorant' one.

I know what you mean, Cheryl. Good call on the roof. I know it's a big expense but it's so worth it, especially with the big loads of snow we've been having lately.

Washington, I wish you were right, but some women's choices are extremely limited, especially the poor. And if they do end up having the baby and putting it up for adoption and it's not white, they're difficult to place.

Twig, I appreciate your views.

Linda, I guess I meant it in the same way conservatives are called neocons. It's either white or black anymore with no grey areas leaving room for discussion.

I am so glad BUSH and the Conservative Lawmakers settled the Abortion issue politically. They did their job by appointing Judges they hope will overturn present Abortion laws.

Now that Abortion is settled politically it frees up millions of votes.

Now millions of voters can look at Bush and his gang of crooks. Now millions of voters can decide if this Conservative form of government has done a good job overall for America. YES!!!

peepa how many times do we have to tell you President Bush won't be re-elected.

Your pathetic whining about "this administration" reminds of some spoiled brat that didn't win their game.
You soon will have a Republican governor and Casey is turning out to be quite a conservative in his own right. But you have two Dems running and that can only help Santorum.

Washington, surely you're joking. If women could lock their legs together at will, men would break them to get what they wanted.

While I agree that each party can say no, it's pretty difficult when you're a 100 pound woman compared to a 200 pound man who won't take no for an answer. Where's the choice for a woman there?

This is what's happening in Africa, India, Pakistan, etc., where most don't have access to an abortion or virth control and look at the thousands of starving, diseased and unwanted children there are. Is this what you want to see happen in America?

Just ask Tom Delay what he thinks about abortion... He is against it in the USA, but for it in Asian countries for those women who are forced into prostitution by the companies they work for. Just another neocon hypocrite talking out of his butt. Linda is a big fan of Tom Delay. She has defended him many times. I suppose that would make her pretty stupid.
