WASHINGTON, D.C. - A white house source stated that Congress is considering awarding Vice-President Dick Cheney the Medal of Freedom, the national highest civilian commendation, for his act of bravery in shooting an attorney.
The source was quoted to say " All Americans have wanted to shoot a lawyer at one time or another and Cheney actually had the balls to do it".
In a related story, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, which issues hunting licenses, said that it will start requiring hunters, wishing to bag a lawyer, to have the new "lawyer's stamp" on their hunting license.
Currently Texas hunters are required to carry stamps for hunting birds, deer, and bear, at a cost of $7 annually. The new "lawyers stamp" will cost $100, but open season will be all year long.
The department further stated that although the "lawyers stamp" comes at hefty price, sales have been brisk and it is believed it will generate revenues in excess of $3 billion dollars the first year.

I've heard that one in a couple of places and to be honest, I think it's in bad taste under the circumstances. I still feel bad for the man Cheney shot. If it weren't for that, I'd think it was hysterical.

I think it's hysterical! I wonder when PA will offer this. Just think of the states that are near bankruptcy.
cheryl- But for the accident we wouldn't have the joke. Now if he had died, this would be not only of bad taste...but completely tasteless. But I don't believe Cheney should get the medal of freedom for it....

I post this as it was a joke not real true to life. LOL If it was then Texas would be out of lawyers real quick or they all might move to a state that is turned into a lawyer preserve. I live in Texas and thought it hilarious. Plus I know of 2 lawyers that should have a target on their chest, that is if they are sober enough to stand up to show them. HAHAHA.

Poor Dan Quail...
—After visiting with wounded veterans from the Amputee Care Center of Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 1, 2006, Dumbo made these heart-warming, yet moronic, "comments:"
"As you can possibly see, I have an injury myself—not here at the hospital, but in combat with a cedar. I eventually won. The cedar gave me a little scratch."

Isn't it ironic that the demomorons are defending a Republican Vice President in a thread that is clearly a JOKE THREAD.
