Am having a blissful evening! After work I bought, among other things, the third season of Have Gun Will Travel.
I've spent the evening watching episodes while I've been playing in an online poker tournament. Great ending for a good day.
I loved this series when I was little and when they started bringing it out on DVD I bought it to see if it is as good as I had remembered it being. It's better! And in those good old days a season had 39 episodes...
Also bought the complete series of Alien Nation, which was abruptly cancelled after the first season--and they'd ended it with a cliff, damn their eyes.

Have Gun was a good series...Richard Boone in later years became the ugliest man on the planet...nose just wouldn't stop growing at the end there it looked like a Hubbard squash.

bunni - What year, if you know, did this series begin?
As a young girl I used to watch the show all the time. Wouldn't invest in the DVD's but it did get my attention at the time...as did many of the western movies/TV programs.
On his nose issue....I've often wondered if it wasn't caused by the make up they had to wear in those days. The chemicals in them.
I know as a young teen I had day-dreams AND night dreams about Troy Donohue...saw everyone of his movies too. But as he aged I was SHOCKED to see his face...pitted and ugly...when he was just the MOST handsome guy when he was in his prime.

The series started in 1957. Boone died of throat cancer, and it could be that the drugs he was given for that caused his face to change.

There is this thing called gravity. It works on noses and ears as well as the other obvious body parts. Accompanied by the dialation of blood vessels in the cheek and nose area from large alcohol consumption and the facial tissue changes from long time smoking it all adds up to one notable face.
So Profe are you motivated to give up those cigars and good whiskey?
I forgot to mention the obvious heriditary / genetics factor.
