For years I've paid my eBay charges with a credit card on file.
This month, I withdrew PP money, leaving less than enough to pay eBay fees. For the first time, eBay withdrew fees from PP and since there wasn't enough to cover, instead of charging my card, PP paid with a withdrawl from my bank account.
I consider that invasive.

Thats interesting,when there is not enough fund in your paypal account,where should the remaining balance come from?
BANK OR CREDIT CARD ON FILE?
//////////
why cant you just register your credit card to pay Ebay instead of Paypal?
I register my Paypal debit card on EBAY so I can get a 1 1/2 % rebate from Paypal.
If there is not enough cash in my Paypal account,it will dip into my bank account(up to 1k).

"why cant you just register your credit card to pay Ebay instead of Paypal?"
My credit card IS registered with eBay. I've been using it to pay my eBay fees for 12 years.
Up until this last monthly bill, PayPal has never even been involved with eBay fees.
I tried to get my credit card back as the source for paying eBay, but with no luck. PP is getting into everything!

If you have registered your credit card direct,I mean without going thru Paypal,with Ebay to pay your Ebay fees,how did Paypal get involved?
If EBAY has a problem charging your credit card,it would tell you and ask you to register another card or resolve the problem with the one on file.

have you looked at their user agreement regarding payment? i am curious to know if that is something stated, or something new, and if new, when was that implemented?
