I don't understand why sellers don't file unpaid item disputes. I had a buyer win 3 auctions 9 days ago, I sent 3 emails, no response. I checked feedback, and there are 11 negs, from 8 different buyers. Why ever wouldn't they file to get their fees back? If you go to the trouble of leaving a neg, surely it makes sense to file UID. You not only get a refund, the buyer will be NARU'd after 3. I filed, and within an hour, the payment arrived.

"You not only get a refund, the buyer will be NARU'd after 3."
This is no longer true. The non-paying bidders can whine to eBay and extend their stay so you can't really be sure who has or has not filed.
I file. I always file. I am currently itching to file on a buyer who wanted me to ship something as a gift to a third party in another country. She asked after the EOA of course. Grrrr. I said sure, I'll even gift wrap it, but if it is not going to the confirmed address (and another country to boot) I will need a check or a money order instead of PP. (My TOS says I reserve the right to refuse shipment to non-com addresses.)
Ay yi yi. You would think I had asked her to cut off her left ear and mail it to me. She's been flipping out ever since. I finally stopped opening her emails because they are borderline unreadable and full!!!!!! of exclamation!!!!! and "you don't know who I ams"!!!!!!. how dare!!!!! you!!!!!! no!!!! other seller!!!!! has done this to me!!!!!!!!!!
On Monday I will file and then I will wait a few days for the payment I know will not arrive and then comes THE NEG. I am itching to do that too. I still have 100% positive but I don't care anymore. I figure that if an idiot negs me, it doesn't count.

I don't know when the rule changed, Lady, but for as long as I have been reading the eBay boards I have heard numerous stories of people whining and having at least one of their strikes removed.
I'm much more harsh which is why I will never work for eBay, lol. Unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as a seller changing their TOS after the EOA) I think three strikes is two strikes too many.

Well, the bidder I mentioned had negs from 8 different sellers. You would have hoped that most of them would have filed UID's. Neg feedback really doesn't do too much harm to buyers, as sellers, we don't have the choice of them bidding, filing UID is the only way to get them off eBay. All the negs were for non-payment. How do you wriggle out of that?

I have always wondered why sellers don't file their UID's. I have found that way too many don't have the guts to post a negative when it's deserved. Maybe their too stupid and think that the UID will show up somewhere.
