What would you call this? A dresser box? Also, any guesses as to era? 50's? 40's? I think it's ceramic as opposed to porcelain, but I'm a glass dummie so I'm not sure. Thanks.

In the early '50s I gave my mother one very similar to that. I'd date it in that era.

P.S. Yes, back in those days we called it a dresser box. There may be a fancier name for it, though. . . .

You could also list as a trinket box.

Could you call it a dresser vanity box or somehow get vanity in there?

Thanks, everyone. Ladyjewels - I was able to fit vanity box in the title along with dresser.
