I am having trouble even getting the home page to come up. When I do, it freezes when I try to bring up the sign in page. I was in earler- sometimes navigating with no problems, sometimes freezing - and had to close my browser and reboot. I usually use Firefox but I can't even get in with IE. Is this a problem other eBayers are having or is it just me? I have 150 auctions ending tonight and another 150 scheduled - I don't know if I should abort their launch or not.

I have been putting on auctions for the last couple of hours with no problems.

Don't look now, but the nightmare is beginning again. Items in some categories are taking 2 + hours to index.

The last several hours, I've been having
problems, too....

When I check "Search for items: Seller,"
or "Search for items: Bidder" I constantly
get an error message which says....

"Feature Unavailable"

"This feature is temporarily unavailable.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have it available again soon."

I won't hold my breath, eBay....

Mine last night took for ever to show up. But I think you need to check your PC out for the freezing part. Run a good spyware program and virus scan to see if you are infested with something. You may be having something load at startup that is hogging your memory and bogging you down to a freeze-up...

You can also check your startup by going to start/ run/ type msconfig and look on the startup window to see what is loading at startup. If you have excessive stuff loading up you might consider taking the check marks out of some things you know you don't use. But don't uncheck your virus scanner, firewall or explorer and sys tray. If in question as to what is needed do a google search on the program or exe file in question. IF you have any that do not have any writting by them uncheck them they are probably bogus or bad. If you are not comfortable doing this you can always go back in and put the check marks back by them if something is not working right.

Another thing to check is to see if your PC is showing all of your memory that it has not gone bad on you or dislodged itself somehow. Right click my computer to see what it says on first window that pops up showing processor PC mhz etc. the memory will read out there that is in the PC and if you know how much you are supposed to have then it should be close to that figure. Would tell you to go into bios but that is more complicated to see memory, if you are not up on PC workings.

Hope you figure it out.

Thanks, Irked. I have Scotty on Patrol (WinPatrol) that protects me from start-up invaders. I'm not having problems with any other site - just eBay. I'm wondering if eBay or one of their advertisers is trying to give me new cookies I don't want (I noticed Scotty cleaning up cookies with nuts a few minutes ago) or if I'm just landing on a bad server.

Phisher I bet. I'm still having probelms. I am trying to do a fast and dirty (quick search) on MOTEL SIGN, title only search, all categories, my computer hangs trying to load a page titled: eBay - motel sign, Advertising, Postcards and Paper items on eBay. I never specified THAT parameter - I think the new search is messing me up!

Edited to add:
OK, after nine attempts, it did the search. I found a card, tried to place my bid, hung up now on review and confirm bid. ARRRGH

Yesterday, I was getting the crappy search result page, but now the search result are back to normal.

My guess is that ebay is trying to change things, but messing up everything in the process.
