It's not a crock pot but we bought a George Foreman grill at a yard sale recently (because it was too cheap to pass up) and it is terrific!!
Boneless Pork Chops! I used to fry them - no more! George does it better! Cuban Sandwiches! Yummmmm!!! I'm addicted to Cuban Sandwiches now

I love my Foreman grill too. Try boneless, skinless chicken breast on it too.
I really don't use it as much as I should - it's so much better for you.

my take (and Paula Deen) on the cuban sandwich:
cuban bread (or french bread)
ham
I use turkey too
cheese
mayo
dijon mustard
tomatoes
etc
I just use the Walmart brand of lunch meat and cuban bread. You butter the outside of the bread and put it all together for about 4 minutes or less on the grill.
It just tastes different hot!
Paula Deen uses pickles on hers but if you Google Paula Deen Cuban Sandwich they rake her over for not making an "authentic" Cuban Sandwich.

That sounds delicious, Glassgrl! Thanks for the idea. I think it would probably be great with other combinations too. I don't care if it is authentic as long as it tastes good!

go spare on the mayo or eliminate it altogether. everything else on there gets really juicy when it's hot. the first one I made I used my normal amount of mayo and everything squished out. now I put the barest amount on there.........
try to get cuban bread if you can. on the net they say french bread just isn't the same - more doughy or something.
then because it's so fat after you've put everything on it, you have to press down on the top of the grill. but that's what makes it so good hot flat and crispy
oh yeah - chicken. I buy those frozen chicken breasts at Sam's Club. Did you know if you marinate them in (plastic bag) plain Yogurt overnight it makes them falling apart tender? I usually add a little teriyaki to mine.

For the chicken breasts, you can also marinate them in salad dressing. I use Italian (not the creamy) and marinate them overnight. They are sooooo good!

Can grilled cheese sandwiches be made on a Geiorge Forman grill. If so, how? Do you butter the outside of the bread if possible?

I found a grilled sandwich maker for the microwave at a thrift store. Been using it for years. No need to put anything on the outside of the bread. I warm it up first, then put some cheese in between two slices of bread. zap for 2 minutes and Wah Lah! Grilled cheese sandwich without the extra butter or oil calories.

Never knew a grilled sandwhich maker for microwaves existed. Guess they do not sell them anymore. I saw ones for bacon which I don't eat but that is about it. Guess I will just have to butter the bread and pop it in the George Forman grill

Don't have a GF grill but we have a Cuisanart Sandwich grill that makes fantastic grill cheese and other sandwiches. My favorite is to take fresh peaches frozen and put in the middle of the bread press grill and then put powdered suger on outside and presto you have a peach pie. Can put butter on outside also of the bread but I usually don't. Good stuff, super fast.

The grilled cheese sandwiches that came out of the George Foreman grill turned out pretty good and since I do not care to use it for steaks, I guess I now have a use for it. Thanks to all who replied.

My favorite was quesadillas! Grated cheddar cheese, diced green onions, and crumbled bacon folded in a tortilla and grilled in the George then served with a blob of sour cream and salsa.
Have to admit I read too many stories about the dangers of Teflon and am off the grill for the moment till I forget to worry about it and start to use it again.

I think he's dead, Jack. BTW, I love my $15 sandwich griller bought at the local drug store - unfortunately, it isn't good enough for my 11 year old who would rather have Mom standing by the stove, waiting to flip his Kraft American grilled cheese sandwich in the pan...

Piximom time for junior to grow up and accept what he gets or go hungary. LOL If I had demanded my Mom cook a certain way I would have starved a long time ago with a knot on my head.

1) John GOtti is dead... Brain Cancer I think
2) Chicken Breast or steak, use a Meat Hammer to make them thin, Dunk them in Tariaki sause and then hit the George Forman Grill. Meat hammers are the key tool in Chicken Paramasian, and so on. It takes the thick meat that takes a ton of time and heat and thins it out so it can cook in a few seconds.
3) Low Fat Steaks from Costco (I've not seen them lately), but if you can find them, I liked to Fry them with Worstchester Sause (no oil). after browning both sides, put in the oven in the frying pan for about 10 minutes at about 400. WOOO HOOO...
