Anyone ever shipped to Malta?
I think it is an island near Italy . I hate the Italian mail service .... IMOP Italy mail is all buried in a Mafia abyss.
Anyway, unless I am incorrect Malta is in that general area. However I do think it is primarily English not Italian ( I do love Italians -just their sorry mail service is in the abyss)
Ok ok ok , the question was - has anyone ever shipped to Malta?

Yes, I mailed a package with a Japanese tea service a couple of years ago. After 3 months and lots of emails, I was just about the give a refund, when it finally arrived!

Malta is a group of islands half-way between Sicily and Africa. It is the southernmost country in Europe. It is an independent nation(gained independence from the UK in 1964 after 160 years of colonization.) Its post office is run by Maltese government, not Italy, which may or may not be good news.

I have mailed to Malta before with no problems but whatever you do DON'T USE SURFACE MAIL!!! At the least use Airmail it they plan on getting it this year. Kind of like mailing to Australia, I think if you use surface mail they still use steam powered boats

I just mailed a book to Malta a couple of weeks ago, my first. I wonder if the Maltese economy is suddenly booming and they have some money to spend?!!!

Haven't mailed anything to Malta for ages but do have some Maltese friends who speak both excellent English, and Italiano plus seven other languages.
Malta joined the EU so along with full integration comes free cross border bank transfers (under EU/EEA directive 2560/2001) for those of you that have Euro bank accounts.

Malta is fine as long as you ship USPS AIR MAIL. As Mike says, Do not ship surface mail.
