Every eBayer knows that no one from the Netherlands has ever paid up.

Mine all did - direct into my Euro bank account. No deduction of fees or fear of PayPal charge backs either.

As to the OP - yes sir it's another advance fee scam similar to the El Gordo lottery one. Give them this (fake) Dutch bank account number: NL91ABNA0417164300 for the transfer of €1 000 000,00.

Agit - I don't know what it is about the Netherlands but the first couple years I sold on ebay I probably had 2 dozen winning bidders from there and not a single one ever paid. They all bid one one particular type of item and I got to the point where I included in those auctions that no bids from the Netherlands would be accepted. One of my competitors in that area wrote me one day saying that she cracked up when she read that in my auction because she had the exact same problem with non paying bidders from there.

fenix03 & agate18,

I have a Euro bank account so it's free and easy for Nederlanders (and other Eurolanders) to pay me. I just give them my account details and hey presto it's across several borders and safely credited in my bank account... to be later invested on the bourse by my fund manager.

Agit - that's wonderful but you are aware that the average US citizen cannot open such an account right? And it's not as if other payment processes are unavailable to them. There is PayPal, Money Orders, Travelers Checks, etc. Never had a Netherland based resident utilize a single one of them.

fenix03.The problem is the amount of time it takes them to pay. way too long. plus the dutch postal system is so slow.
I have 3 different ways i can accept credit card payments and i grudgingly take paypal. Yes i do know you cannot open an account easily. we have the same problems in australia.

Stonecold. looks like i will be able to get a loan off you , until my winnings come thru.

We have not been getting these emails regarding
the lotto wins. the one i got was the first.
