Morning

In my auction it is clearing stated....PAYPAL ONLY........

Winner contacts me stating........I WILL SEND YOU A MONEY ORDER GIVE ME YOUR ADDRESS.........

I write back to him............I only except paypal as payment, which is stated in my auction. If you don't use paypal then the only other form of payment would be cash, I don't drive so I can not cash any money orders or checks that is why I only accept paypal.

He writes back saying.....I guess I could stick cash in a envelope since it's only 16 bucks... Just send me the address and I will get it out today.....Peace

I sent him an email thanking him ..........

NOW.......THIS MORNING HE LEAVES ME FEEDBACK SAYING..........Only takes Pay Pal and wont work with you... Also a smart ass...

AM I A SMART ASS?????????????? PLEASE HELP ME TO SEE WHAT I DID SO WRONG HERE.

Question is ...I need to know how to file with ebay that the buyer did not follow auction terms.............can someone tell me how to do that............

Thanks, tonimar1

No, you are NOT a smartazz. Someone else here will be able to help you with filing for FVF etc. You may also be able to get his FB deleted; not sure Ebay will accept that word he used. He certainly is abusing the feedback system, and I'd be feeling a bit of rage over this. Does he have a history of trigger-quick feedbacks? Is he a newbie?

No...the emotional intent of the written word can easily be misinterpreted. You were justifiably frustrated with this buyer who failed to read or follow your terms of service. Maybe that frustration was evident in your reply to him and he considered it rude.

I would simply respond to that negative with a reasoned response, making sure that your reply cannot be interpreted as "smart ass".

he has 11 feedbacks and I did call ebay and explained what is happening.......I also was a power seller last night, and now I am not........I am really so pissed off mainly to see that buyers think they can run your auction how they like and then give you neg feedback ......because they did...NOT READING YOUR TERMS.........

I did try working with him, now after I did my filing with ebay and making my call to ebay........the following is an email I received from the buyer............I also only sell under one (1) Ebay account.....so I don't understand his email..........I am not both these people he is talking about.......I am only antiquerou

I am guessing that these both belong to the same person [email protected], Antiquerou. If I am correct than please excuse me for my reply this morning I wasn't aware that you were the seller of both the auctions that I won. You are using two different user I.D.'s on Ebay auctions. I didn't read the shipping rules before I bid as I have always been able to use cash, money orders, and personal checks. If you look at my feedback you will see that I am a good member here at Ebay.

Please re-list your items that I won as I can't send that much cash in the mail. I am so sorry about all the trouble that I have caused and I will go and remove the negative feedback I left you because of the message I recieved this morning. Again I didn't know I won both auctions from the same person.

Then I emailed him with this email:
I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT,

I HAVE ONE SELLING ACCOUNT THAT I USE

THERE ALSO IS NO EXCUESE FOR WHAT YOU DID TO ME,

I AM REPORTING YOU AND HOPEING THAT EBAY DOES DO SOMETHING ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF TO RUN A SELLERS AUCTION THE WAY YOU THINK IS BEST...........
LEARN TO READ THE LISTINGS

I think I better not ans. him anymore because I am beginning to loose it..........lol

YUP, you're losing it...and customers. He apologized and you ripped him a new one. He started a dialog to repair the damage and you threw it back in his face.

well damn, I got to agree with crow on this one.
(that doesnt happen to often >

1-Was it necessary to type in caps? Sounds like your yelling at the buyer and trying to belittle him.
2-Since this might be a newbie with 11 feedbacks,he was probably confused and when hes trying to fix things you rip a new him a new assh*ole.
3-You REALLY need spell check. Its bad enough you misspelled to easy words, but to type them in capitols, makes you look stupid.

now lets all take a poll here...whos the idiot?

1-The buyer
2-The seller

Well, neither are idiots....one is new and one is suffering burn out.....time to list less, take a week off, and remember, honey catches more flies than vinegar.

I just turned one around when he emailed demanding how I pack his items with lots of exclamation points and bold letters. I thought, "what a jerk" but I wrote "please check my feedback, I pack with care. But it sounds like you've had some bad experiences blah , blah, nicey , nicey.Thank you so much for bidding.

His return email was calmer, apologetic and nice.

Now, I know classic will LOL all over himself when he hears that coming from ME, but I'm not talking about the RT , I'm talking about CUSTOMERS!

Ja, I think tonimar1 kinda lost it, but I know exactly how she feels. I have had the same experience with idiots who won't take the time to read entire TOS. I put in my TOS that "Iaccept all credit cards theough PayPal" I got negged because it wasn't in my checkout & the #*!@ was PO'd.

I always try to work with each of my customers, which is probably why I have very few (1-3%) NPBs. If I was faced with this situation, I would have suggested bidpay or western union. Or he could have called his bank and done a direct transfer into your account. There are other ways besides paypal or cash through the mail.

I have said this before to another poster, please come here FIRST before responding to buyers when you are faced with a problem. There are so many experienced members on this board that one of us could have come up with a solution for you. The situation could have been diffused and both you and your customer could have ended up satisfied. Unfortunately, you now have a neg and the buyer must really be ticked off after reading your response.

Did you send your physical address with your payment request? As a buyer, never ever send payment to anyone with out a physical address even if the seller only accepts paypal.

Now this person may still pay with PayPal, but my guess is they need your address for their protection.

crowfarm - You've got it right, I don't understand why people become hostile right away. The best way to deal with a problem is be calm about it. Whenever I get one (i.e. accuses me of being a thief, a criminal, etc.) I take a deep breath, and calmly explain that sometimes problems happen and what we can do to resolve it. I also point them to my feedback (which is 100% with over 16,000 positives, even though I have 3 negs) and tell them that should probably be proof I am not a con artist. I also tend to advise them that I recommend that next time there is a problem with an ebay seller, perhaps it is best to approach it without accusing anyone of anything. The next email I get from those people is ALWAYS much calmer, much more polite, and often apologetic. I spent many years working with the public at academic libraries, which can be stressful. You never want to escalate someone's anger if you can help it, online or offline.

Well, guess all of you are right when it comes to me loosing it, but you also are forgetting ...........the neg. he left and the reason he left it thats what got me upset,
I didn't get upset because he dose not use paypal.............

His letter of apology was only because he received a letter from Ebay saying that I was filing a complaint against him...........

I don't think my spelling is that bad that you can not read what I wrote.

3-You REALLY need spell check. Its bad enough you misspelled to easy words, but to type them in capitols, makes you look stupid.

I also don't need to be corrected on my spelling...AND I DON'T NEED FOR YOU TO CALL ME STUPID......

classicrock000 your statement IS UNCALLED FOR, I'm not here for you to criticize me ............I was hoping for a little help or suggestions from people that understand.

In all the years I have been with vendio this is the first time I truly REGRET coming in here with my problem.

Didn't mean to be hard on you, just hoped to calm you down.

And, trust me, classic shouldn't be correcting anybody else's spelling....his sucks.
