We THANKED him & then waited...& waited...&waited:

Now da chickens come home to ROOST:

&

Non paying bidder,No communication,No funds available for high items BEWARE!!!!!

Great communication. A pleasure to do business with.

So now you are out 4 scales?

I sometimes do if the I am going to the Post office and the item is a high ticket one. I hate making those trips. I know I can mail from home but I like the receipt that I get when I go there as everything is in one place.

I NEVER ship until an eCheck has been cleared. I'm sorry, but I don't trust anyone! I still wait 10 days on personal checks, and I even wait 3 days after a PayPal payment before shipping. Never had one complaint about the wait, but I have put it into my TOS.

Hope you have some recourse Tom.

YIKES!

Hey! Ralphie, ya dumb mutt! Did we word that wrong?

WE didn't ship nada! WE waited two weeks until PayPal finally BOUNCED this bozo's "eChecks" de RUBBER!

THE COMMENTS above are the NEGS from sellers who DID (apparently) ship the goods before official "OK" from PayPal...

Why would anybody ship an item, especially a high ticket one before an e-check clears. Thats just asking for trouble. Never do it.

And why is this guy not NRU'd. Checked his feedback. New user 2/05! Looks like he got lots of goodies without paying.

I had a new user 2/05 spend $65 on a popular item. Checked his buying history. 40 auctions won in the 30 days since he registed. You betcha I didn't ship until payment cleared!

I know it seems like a hassle. And I know you high volume guys don't have time to check out all of your buyers. But if you smell a rat, take a look and you will probably find one.

Ralphie just did. Good boy! And thanks for alerting the rest of us.

Its amazing what you can learn about someone by checking their buying pattern. This jerk is living it up in his 1997 Lincoln. He races pocket bikes and is dining on his free Omaho steaks. Oh, and don't forget that $1500(!) Honda Generator he now has so he can still shop Ebay after the electric company turned his lights off.

Dollars to donuts, I am willing to bet he originally set up a PP account with a stolen credit card.

Tomwii, if you have the time. Do the world a favor and write the other sellers. Alert them to what is going on. Suggest they file a mail fraud claim and most certainly suggest they contact PP and Ebay and make sure this guy doesn't screw anyone else.

I see he quit his buying spree on 2/23. Probably means he has set up a new buyer ID. Sellers beware!!!

So sorry to hear about that Tom, you must be sick about it. I had it happen once, but with a small amount. I guess it's a case of learning a lesson you never forget. I hope you can get something done about it.

YES, I wanted to, as, obviously, this "person" is over the "3-strikes" limit -- but HOW can I get the SELLERS' email addresses???

He really BUSHED-OVER these guys!

ALSO...

This is one of the very few times I've ever left a NEGATIVE without any protection -- this "bidder" is such a putz, that a retalitory neg from him would serve as a badge of honor...

Tomwii, it is easy to write the other sellers. Just click on the auctions Mr. Deadbeat won and then click on the ask the seller a question tab. Ebay will send the email for you.

In the past I have had good success putting together a linch mob for the likes of this guy. The other sellers were more than happy to help me tie a noose.

I just typed up one letter and sent it to all the other sellers. I also called the sheriff's dept in the buyer's home town and alerted them to what was going on.

You should have the buyer's address by now. It will show on PP and on your Ebay sold item list when you click "View Payment status".

It's good to be reminded of this awful possibility. Once - and only once! - I mistakenly left positive feedback and mailed an item without the e-check's clearing. I sweated bullets on that one; fortunately it turned out okay.

Any attempt "to obtain items without payment" is Federal mail fraud if said item was so delivered to purchaser via USPS. Every count of mail fraud means another 5 years federal prison time for them with NO parole so make sure every purchase counts.

Why wo9uld you want to take the risk by shipping before the e-check clears. Even P/P warns you that there is no $$ until the check is cleared. I have had a few & they have all been AOK, but I don't ship until P/P says so.

I saw this post yesterday but didn't open it.
Then yesterday I had a guy ask about an item which he had paid with echeck. He had good FB and it was only $15.00 so I shipped.
Guess I should have read this yesterday?? Oh well - not much money even if I lose it.
