Anybody have a Palm Pilot that can tell me what Ebay looks like on the screen before I drop $50.00 on cables to hook it up with my cell phone and computer?

I looked in Google and it brought up the Ebay page on that and it says you can't search completed auctions.

I mainly want to use it on Saturday mornings while we're out on the road to look up prices.

We bought a Palm Tungsten T for $100.00 at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it!! They wanted $150.00 for it and my husband offered $100.00 and he said they stood there arguing on whether to take the cash or sell it on Ebay

I'd love to know if anyone is doing this before I make the investment, too.
Thanks!

The cables are probably a lot cheaper on ebay than locally.

amazingly enought the cheapest cables aren't on Ebay.

They're on www.gomadic.com where they have a free lifetime trade in policy to swap the cable out if you get a new cell phone.

well I also posted this over at a cingular forum and nobody has ansewered me yet!!

Although I did find this on the web but I don't think the Palm i705 is color, and this article says you can search closed auctions.

My friend tried to relist through AW vendil but couldn't so she signed up for the other *free* trial with the other auction hosting, and she says with that one, you can search up to 6 months closed auctions.

Well, I've done it - and it's not all it's cracked up to be. It's slow, connectivity is sporadic and of course there are no pictures when you browse on a Palm Pilot. I prefer a laptop with a cell modem.

Here's a preview of what eBay looks like 'stripped down' for Palm Pilots:

Now we are going to have to worry about drivers searching their Palm Pilots for eBay items. Aren't cell Phones dangerous what about these things. Get a life everyone. By the time you look up an item someone has snatched it up. I am sure sooner or later anything that has to do with cell phones will be banned in autos. It can't come soon enough for me. Just my opinion...

My DH had a cellphone that was also a PDA, some expensive hybrid. He planned on using it to check on the prices of things as he shopped. It was awful.

You couldn't see very many listings... it connected very slow, if at all (would only connect at 14.4)... it took forever to type in words to search

He ended up just calling me at home to check the prices for him. We sold his phone and got a cheaper model.
