I'd heard that ebay was going to begin putting more information on our auction page regarding our feedback percentage (e.g., seller has 500 feedbacks, 99.5% positive rating. . . ). Do some of you have this already on your auctions? Mine don't show it yet.

Not yet. I'm not sure anyone will care.

Revise an existing auction to list in coins-commemorative-modern. You'll see your numbers then you can just not complete the revision.

I read about it, but didn't pay much attention to it. Just checked & it is on my auctions. I have a 98.5% pos. rating. It is strange that some iktems have it & others don't even in the same category, i.e. (Antique Silver) two items, one with & one without.

Well I have it on mine and I hate it. I have two undeserved negatives and so my feedback is at 99.4%. With the competion at 100 that makes my look very unattractive. I would rather buyers clicked on the number and could see a page with wonderful commments and have something to compare the 2 negs too. I am mad as he** right now.
I worked too hard to give wonderful service and ebay with one stupid move is making me look terrbile. And if you have 100% feedback, just wait because it will happen to you at some point also.

Roadsmith, the new system is showing up in my auctions. My percentage is 100%. It shows I registered in 1998. It looks nice, and should give me an additional edge over my competitors.
As a buyer, anything less than 100% showing on an auction page will be a reminder for me to look at the seller's feedback detail.

Showing a 100% may be a good thing for your Ego!
But it may spur others: buyers/sellers, to see what they can do to change it!

Dare I go out on a limb and guess that those with 100% feedback ratings don't give negs to their non-paying customers? Just sign me..."Still seething over my retaliatory neg"...

I noticed I had it showing today. I have 100% feedback % and I have over 1240 feedback (1500 total). I DO leave NEGS for NPB's. Always have, always will. But...I have learned to leave the NEG before filing the FVF because twice they were NARU before I got my chance, not very satisfying when that happens.

Two of my sep. auction pages came in,,,,100% on one.......and 98.8 on the other. One Happy camper here. WAY Over 1000 feeds on the 98.8.
And to be sure that 100% remains just that,,,,I am much older and wiser e bay wise.....you hit me with a NEG before contacting me and I surely will slam the sender with the exact same thing!!! Think!!!!
right on my "me" page........make one and refer them to it......I have NO problem telling idiots where to get off at.

I just found my % in one of my pottery auctions. 100%, 478 positive feedbacks. Love it. Like getting the term paper back with an A+ on it.
I plan to enjoy this while I can, because sooner or later It Will Happen.

Wouldn't it be nice if they would do the same with the bidder feedback so we would know when we should just cancel a bid?
posted on March 11, 2003 08:58:26 PM new
I don't think 100% will be an edge over someone with only 98% because I doubt most bidders will care that much if they really want the goods and the price is right.
Some won't understand it and maybe 90% will look good to them, especially the newbies who don't understand the feedback system to begin with.
Consider this. Each time a seller messes up and they pay SquareTrade the extortion money they can keep a super high percentage.
So one seller does this and another seller gets hit with undeserved negatives from several whackos all at once. They may be the better seller but they don't believe in SquareTrade and they will end up looking worse.
So is it fair? No, ebay is trying to get us all paranoid so the money keeps pumping into SquareTrade. I can't help but think this way.

E bay wants to make this a more,,,,, Friendly,,,,,,, trading enviroment?
How about putting some numbers next to all those words on the site map page. .14 file for fvf. .11 block bidders......21 kill bids......you all see the same mass of $hit and utter confusion of that page no matter HOW many times you have been there. Look and search and do it again.......Hey! buys them time AND you might just,,,,,give up!!!!! Yeah!!!!! e bay says!!!!
Get that NEGATIVE button WWWWWWaaaaaaaaaaaYYYYYY over on the other side of the page,,,,,,But!!!!! my Dear,,,,the Better the possibilities they will not even read that blatant warning and STILL hit NEG!!!!!
Square trade $$$$$$$$ $20.00......yeah!!!!
Yup.....I may be a ding a ling but I am far from Stupid. Big difference.

Oh my gosh. SEARS - only 94%! I'll bet they hate that.
You know what, those bigggggg sellers are going to lean on Ebay to eliminate this feature. Don't you just know it? They'll not be able to stand having that percentage show. My math tells me that they've had close to 250 negs.
