I am looking into using Endicia. I ship 100+ packages/week. Haven't been doing international but am thinking of it. Do you still have to stand in line at the post office for customs forms etc for international shipping, when using Endicia? Pros and cons of this service...vs other internet postage svcs...will be appreciated. So far I get stamps delivered to my door by the postman and ship 4-5 days/week, by dropping of pre-stamped packages at door of post office. I do have to stand in line to buy delivery confirmation there though.

So far, its ok.. I figured it out.
But I've been sitting them on the counter,
and leaving them, even the over 1 pound packages. And the clerks have been scanning the DC on them... I've told them before they didn't have to do that... but I was tired last night, and just left.

Endicia is the best deal in online postage.
Yes, you can mail packages over 1 pound in any USPS drop box without having it round-dated.

Endicia is absolutely wonderful. Great company - I can't say enough good things about them. As for the international packages, I understand that you are supposed to wait in line because the custom form needs to be stamped. But my post office knows me. I have a supply of the customs forms and fill them out at home. When I leave the packages, I put the international ones on top and (very lightly) tape the custom form to it. I just wave to the clerk and mention that there's an international package - they take care of it. So I don't have to wait in line for them.
The only thing I have to wait in line for is insurance. I understand that you can insure packages using U-Pic through Endicia. But I insure so few packages that I haven't checked into it.
Seriously, it's a wonderful company. If it were public, I'd buy stock in it (and I don't say that often).

GU1HToM, how is this insurance work. I love Endicia and always want to add insurance to my packages but I hate to go to the post office so when buyer wants insurance I usually just send it by UPS.
Please let me know how to add insurance to Endicia postage.
To use the U-PIC method (which is much easier and less expensive than getting the USPS retail insurance):
1. Click on the UPIC link on the page above and sign up with UPIC.
2. As you print labels with Endicia, you will see a package valuation field on the print dialog (lower left corner). If you want to insure that package with UPIC, simply type the package value in that field when you are about to print the shipping label. You can optionally fill in the package description field.
3. At the end of the month, go into the Endicia postage log and print the detailed report. FAX that report to U-PIC and they will bill you for the insurance coverage you used during that reporting period. (We hope to have an electronic interface soon which will replace the FAX process).
4. You don't fill out any forms relating to insurance on a package, or mark the package in any way WRT insurance. Everything required for the UPIC insurance is contained in your postage log.
5. Use delivery confirmation on your packages and UPIC gives you a preferential rate!
