For all oof your auctions that ended tonight. I just did. They won't but if everybody asks it might get a little attention. I hope somebody takes them to court for the fees! Does anybody have any good media contacts. This needs to be reported in the main stream press!

L.O.L. You must be new to ebay! This is old hat stuff and they don't give a crap. Rots of Ruck to you. People have been fighting this for a couple of years and have done no good.

I know but at the very least it will waste about a minute of someones time at ebay. Just hoping a lot of folks flood them with emails.

That's a minute waisted when the Ebay crew would have been working to bring Ebay back up. We could then be waiting twice as long for the site to come back up.
It's a good thought, but in practice it hasn't made a difference.
Only one thing will get Ebay to change. Well, two things. A loss of income from fees/closing fees, which means that sellers would have to stop listing on Ebay, which I don't think will happen right away. The other is Ebay stock taking a huge nose dive. Since Disney just bought 25% of the ebay stock, this won't happen in the near future either.

I aksed for mine back the worst they can say is no and if they do I will deal with it then. Someone else posted this in another Thread and I took their advice. If it will work or not I don't know.
This is the link for Ebay support. Click on BILLING and then OTHER ACCOUNT QUESTIONS.. then click on the link that says "I have tried instant help and still want to contact support" it will then take you to a screen. (When ebay is back up, that is!)
Enter your item numbers that were affected and tell them you want credit because ebay was down and it affected your auctions.
Has worked for me every time! Good luck!

You should absolutely ask for your listing, special feature and final value fees EVERY TIME you feel your auctions were negatively impacted by an outage, and you did not get the full service you paid for. In more cases than not, ebaY will refund your fees. If they refuse, WRITE BACK and keep writing back until they give in. IT WORKS
request a refund by going to the form at
http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?
SendSupportEmailShow&subject=Credit%20--%20How%20can
%20I%20receive%20credit%20for%20insertion%20fees%3F%20
Send -
* The item number(s) of the ended auction(s)
* The specific fee(s) charged for them
* Your seller's email address or User ID
* The phrase, GIVE CREDIT in the Subject line
This can also be accessed from
http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-support.html
PLEASE - IF YOU ARE DENIED REFUNDS LET US KNOW - We keep in touch with the media on these issues, and when ebaY is questioned by reporters as to why they are not giving refunds - ebaY generally backs down. If you want to do more than write - go to our website for ebaY contact info and call - and if you really want to get down to the nitty gritty, email me and I can provide you with the voice mail numbers of a couple of the VIPs. -Rosalinda
