Hi all
Could someone please give me some help with this ring. I have been unable to identify the crest, or is this a coat-of-arms.
Inside the ring are the words “BALFOO(missing letters) Sterling”. The crest or CoA has a small “C” surrounded by ten stars and around the stars some type of inlay, I believe enamel, red white and blue with some missing. The crest is not part of the sterling, it looks to be white gold.
I think the ring has English origins possibly around the 1930’s, but am unsure, any help anyone could give would be appreciated.
Can't help you with the crest, however the name inside the ring might be the manufacturer "Balfour". I think that I spelled it correctly. They are a big maker of school rings now. If all else fails on the crest (coat of arms), maybe you can contact them and they can help you.
