Since I some how started a new topic without ANY messages I guess I'll add something through the edit function.

I'm not aware of any broad public statement from PayPal for several days now and my questions to AW have gone unanswered. (Posted first, 48 hours ago, in a thread in the "partners" area and repeated as a stand alone thread in the Moderators section.)

I choose to see this as good news. I believe PayPal has stepped back and is reviewing what has taken place. I expect they will return with a public announcement and hope it will go a long ways toward satifying users and allowing all or at least most of us to move on.

This situtation has again made me aware of how poor the user to user communications is when dealing with common concerns.

Those aware of this board were able to find information, read and/or participate in discussions, come to a conclusion and take actions that meet their point of view and needs.

That there is not one universal opinion is to be expected, is the strength of the system and something that everybody and our common interests benefit from in the broad picture of this business.

But think how many people must be isolated, without information and community access while still interested in what is happening.

It's not our fault they haven't found AW and others do use OTWA, the boards on eBay and various means of contact.

Certain conflict of interests exist due to the nature of our host's other businesses, the system might not allow for ten or twenty times as many users and other pratical considerstions exist.

I don't have solutions. I do feel the broadest participation will, in the long run, provide the best overall results for our common interests.

The eerie silence of PayPal will be quickly resolved but the eerie silence of the vast majority of users is a bigger, more difficult and ultimately more meaningful problem.

What's the problem? If you're unhappy with PayPal, stop using them and move on. You don't need to read a message board to reach that common sense conclusion.
