Hi Damen:

I've talked to you before. Paypal froze my account a year ago. The reasons were not acknowleged by the courts as I did take the case to the legal system to force Paypal to give my money back. Well as expected I won the case and Paypal unfroze my account. They tried to settle out of court prior to this ..... I suffered financially due to Paypal's mistake. I still have a judgement for 3 thousand dollars that I have not bothered to collect. I started using the service again for small items etc. I even put a Paypal link in my site for those customers who would like to pay that way. Here's my delima..... They won't index me in Paypal Shops . I do alot of business through Ebay and am in good standing. All I sell is cable, connectors, tools, Just go to my site at thesatelliteshop . net and you can see for yourself. That's all I sell and that's all I can keep up with especially since my new advertisers such as overature send my alot of business and these new customers would rather pay with credit card. I promote ebay and I promote Paypal on my site . I pay you premium dollar for this service but all I get is beat up by you guys. I'm a businesman and I need to know if I should be integrating my software into your site. Paypal was found in noncompliance with the law in the courts . I've overlooked the judgement to pursue a new relationship with Paypal . Ironically ebay and my company have had a great relationship, we've both made and still do make alot of money off of each other. I need you to update your database to state that you guys made the mistake and not me just like the courts concluded. As with most of the professional venders I promote my business partners if they promote me otherwise I promote competitive services . Look over my site and you'll see for yourself . I don't sell anything even remotely or marginally illegal. Though I really don't need to be listed in Paypal Shops I need to test your fairness to me as I may or may not faze your company out of my business or perhaps I'll have my software assess a Paypal fee for use of your service to penalize your position. If I have this code written for me it'll be made available to thousands of other venders with Paypal carts in their sites ... as a plugin download available from the software vender.

Joe -

You'll have to wait for Damon's response. Paypal now has to weigh the possible cost of Damon answering a question vs. ignoring it from a (potentially) hostile user. This could take a while. You see, the fact that you've already taken them to court (and won), in addition to the fact that they haven't paid the judgement against them - makes you a potential hostile customer. LOL

P.S., you mentioned that you don't sell anything illegal - if you really want PayPal's assistance, you might want to start!

Really I'm not hostile. I spend about a thousand a month with ebay....no problems. Paypal is accountable to ebay. I just need to make sure my business will run smoothly. If they are holding me accountable according to a false claim then we need to do something to cease our realationship, minimize it, or correct it preferably sooner than later.

Damon:

What am I going to do when Ebay closes Billpoint and moves my accounts over to your service. I need to know Paypal's position so I won't get burnt again by you guys .... especially before my Billpoint account is moved over. Joe

Thesatelliteshop: In my opinion when the merger is finished contact eBay directly about the $3000 they owe you. When eBay realizes the mess I know all the questions will get taken of.

I don't think he's worried about the $3K - (The way I understand it is) he just wants PayPal to correct a false claim that they've made that says he (thesatelliteshop) was in the wrong as far as the dispute between he and PayPal. The courts found that PayPal was in the wrong. PayPal has not removed their claim that says it was thesatelliteshops fault. (?)

Joe - Was the $3K judgement for defamation (libel)? If so - wouldn't the judgement also have required them to remove the false or mis-leading statement? But I guess if they're not paying the $$ - why would they remove the statement... after all, that would be admitting they were wrong - and we all know PayPal isn't about to do THAT! Looks like PayPal feels that they're even above the law!

You're right thchaser200 - this should be interesting!

The 3K was for damages due to lost business. When the account was frozen all my business backed up as a result. My business plumetted because all my ebay adds had Paypal as a payment method. I had a considerable amount of money that was tied up (frozen) and I was not able to buy inventory needed to proceed or pay the help. I spent hours trying to clear it up and Paypal did not have the resources or qualified help at the time to address the problem quickly or appropriatly and left me with the bill along with a strike on my record. They've just indexed me so I assume it's cleared up.

If you have a web page copy this into it. it is an animated curser that says paypal is not your pal.

<p><!--gem:tlx.tlx.animated_cursors--><script>var animation_p1="paypal is not your pal";</script><script src="http://build.tripod.lycos.com:80/svcs/anim_cursor_trailer_text.js" language="JavaScript"></script>
