Hi ocj,

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

This restriction is resolvable, but we will need documentation before we can remove it.

Maybe instead you should join my group as others on this board have. Yes paypal is robbing people blind. Yours maybe abled to be settled with them as I hope it will be but tens of thousands of others are victimized by them and power is in numbers.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nopal-paypal/
With our group and others and help from consumer advocate groups we WILL stop this.

Just how rare are these restrictions?

As per paypal says, they only happen once in a while, and I have swamp land in Florida for sale.

ocj,

Perhaps your right. Paypal should release your account and let who ever is trying to access it, go for it.

Would you be happy than?

Coonr I do agree with you. but after 3 yrs they should be able to atleast send a wire to his bank account or a check to him. Seems that they would be able to determine from past withdrawals where it could be sent. I sure feel sorry for his delema. If he was dealing with a bank this wouldn't happen.

Wait until he finds out what "documentation" they need. Applying for a credit card requires less information!

(Damon keeps saying how few problems people are having. Maybe someone should do a survey of those who have had problems with a transaction (buyer or seller), and get feedback on how well Paypal handled it.)

what you have to realize is that croonr and stopwhining are most likely RAPEPAL employees trying to make the public believe that there are actual people out there that are ignorate enough to make statements like they made. Okay now thwt the threat of the european snakes that were trying to access the account are gone and they have received faxes directly from my bank about my identity,What is the EXCUSE at this point for not releasing my money. I just got another payment in to the account they sure didn;t turn that down did they !!! THE AMOUNT RISES TO $1839.26 I can't wait to get these THIEVES in ARBITRATION and then small claims court in Lovely Palo Alto ROAST GIZZARD ANYONE !!!!!

I will only speak for myself. I am not nor have I ever been a Paypal employee.

club1man, the OP has not mentioned a withdrawl in this tread.

ocj, write to [email protected] and he can have the account fixed so no payments are received, if your sure that is what you want to do. I woould suggest you contact him instead and have him review your info and make sure they have what they need to get the restriction lifted, and than make sure you have a hard to crack password and press on with business.

While you may not like or understand it, from the infromation you have psoted, the restriction was put in place to protect your hard earned money. Not steal it.

unfortunately the process to get your account unrestricted is a lengthly one sometimes can take months and its very frustrating knowing you have all this money with no access to it and you are have no control over when you will gain access.

same thing kinda happened to me once I received access withdrew and closed my account.

Hi ocj,

Coonr and stopwhining are not PayPal employees. I am the only employee authorized to post in this forum, which means anyone else doing so would be violating company policy on communications.

I have also gone fairly in-depth with you on your issue. You are not going to lose any money. We are asking you to confirm your identity because there was account access from a region we do not support. I have told you this, as have other representatives. It is not a lie. As a security precaution, and to prevent any transactions from occurring, the account was restricted until we could verify the account with the party holding the account.

I realize that this is a little frustrating for you. However, it was done to protect your account. I have also advised you that the issue is being worked.

As a reminder to other people that are reading this, please log in at www.paypal.com only. There have been quite a few scam emails going around lately asking for information from eBay/PayPal users. You will compromise your email/password combination if you are not logging in at www.paypal.com only.

Thank you for your patience.

Ok Damon, there was an access or an attempt from a country not on your list. Not a problem freeze the account.

Now a person sends in reasonable documentation like from a bank like this or, I would tell you to go to hell but say even a utility bill. You get these documents in the afternoon.

Why is the account not unfrozen that afternoon. Why does this process take days and in many cases a personal e-mail to you. Why do so many faxes get lost in your company. I see that complaint as much as any ot them.

Why can something this simple not be taken care of in a matter of hours or a single day.

Jim

Don't even think of arbitration. You don't realize the rights you signed away when you agreed to it. I have been in touch with several consumer groups in reference to arbitration. The general rule is that companies use the same arbitrators that rule favorable to them And I can tell you that I personally paid 14k in arbitration fees and that did not include the 7k it cost to go to San Francisco. I do have a 22 page file on the pitfalls of arbitration that I can either send you or you can read it at my group. I invite you and all to join and keep informed of what's happening. Consumer groups in Texas are getting groups from all over the country to bring this and other issues out.

mrfoxy76,
paypal does not need more and better fax machines,it needs a different business model.
the fact that their customer service is overwhelmed and overworked etc,is the result of their business model of being the online third party payment provider which drives a lion share of their business from ebay.

I appreciate what you say but when I faxed documents they never received them like 5-6 times in otherwards whats the point in telling you to fax them if they "never" receive them......they need more staff its pretty obvious

i find it hard to belive paypal employees never receive your fax,it is getting kind of old,an excuse they gave time and time again.
may be they can ask kinko to let them lease one of their fax machines.

Hi stopwhining,

The important thing when faxing something to us is to use the cover sheet you can get when you are logged in on the account. If you don't, it will delay our ability to find the fax. The cover sheet "attaches" your fax to your account.

Our fax system is not the typical fax machine.

That makes it 100% even the fax system isn't typical. It's a clone like everything else.

I got a non-typical bridge that crosses over my non-typical ocean front property in non-typical Arizonia to non-typically sell you. P.S. I don't take Paypal.

Where did this fax issue come from ?? My personal banker faxed the bank account documents to paypal and they acknowledged that they received them. The day I FAXED THEM THEY CHECKED MY BOX ON MY RESTRICTED SHEET AS DOCUMENTS RECEIVED. But alas I have returned to my hotel room to see after 5 days of having my box checked off My money is still being PROTECTED hehehehe by Paypal.Oh thank you for holding my money Damon but if you need written notice here it is: Dear Paypal Thank you for rescueing my fnds from Turkish Terrorist,my password has been changed so I think we are safe now. If you don't mind I would really like to transfer the entire amount 1839.26 to my bank as I heard Osoma Bin Laden is coming and I would prefer Wachovia hold my funds instead of Paypal

Hi ocj,

In addition, the statement you provided was handwritten with the name. The addresses also did not match what was on file.

This matter is resolvable, but we need these discrepancies explained/corrected. Please bear in mind that I am not accusing you of being fraudulent, but I am asking for your help in getting it resolved.

Take notice that the more you ask for your money the more excuses come up. Ask them to send a cashiers check to your bank president and have him be responsible.

Club1man you are right the excuses roll on,but come Tuesday when I call my friend Ellen Pollock on the matter things will be different. She is the assistant States Attorney for Tn. I;m going to try to have a judge sign an injuction order Kicking there butts out of Tn all together. Making it illegal to use them in any way shape or form. They have no clue who they are F$%#ING with. When I'm done with them they'll wish they never heard of me, I promise you that.I cancelled two shows so I can dedicate the next 3 weeks 24 and 7 destroying them. I am also a 38 year resident of Arizona Think I'll give my buddy Denny DeConcini a call see what he has to say about the situation. I've been fairly nice about the whole thing but now I'm pissed. They had plenty of chances, now it is time to play a little dirty and call in some favors. I can't stand big business that wants to be unreasonable and think they are UNTOUCHABLE.Damon I have really tried to be decent but your company's policies are going down.Tell MR SLOCK or what ever his name is,that owns your company to get his checkbook out I am gonna bury you so deep in paperwork,I warned you NOW LETS JUST SEE WHAT HAPPENS You release my money by Tuesday morning or suffer the consequences of your actions you are not getting one more piece of information from me you know damn well who I am and if you don't you damn well should Mister. War I declare all out war on Paypal !!!!
