A Buyer Complaint (which is not a chargeback) must be filed within 30 days.
A chargeback proper is decided by the card issuer. Most companies allow 60 days for filing, but they can make exceptions to this. It will also vary by issuer.
The reporting of the chargeback can take a few days to come in, or it can take a few months. The reporting time will also vary.

PayPal is sick!
I had a transaction in Aug, 2000 (non-credit payment, PayPal fund or e-check) (item shipped with FedEx). PayPal reversed the payment in Dec, 2000. (Four months after transaction) and restricted my account.
I fought over 1.6 year, thanks PayPaldamon, finally problem got resolved in Mar, 2002 (after 19 months).
