My account has been frozen also, luckily there's not much money in it, but what i foresee is a customer paying me with paypal and then asking for a refund. What then, will they take it from my bank account, or credit card.
Here's the funny thing: about two days before my account was frozen, i applied and was accepted for the Paypal Visa. there is a girl who calls me from Paypal every night wanting to "verify a few things" about my new credit card. Now what i propose is they take these people calling to verify for the credit cards and get them to work in customer service fixing the frozen accounts. They are very hard working and persistent, she calls every night.
i just don't understand how they get away with doing this.

the folks who call and peddle paypal visa could be an outside service.
i dont think paypal can charge your credit card to refund your customer,it would be either your paypal fund or bank account.
why dont you read terms of agreement on paypal site and see what they have to say.

reesiesmom,
The reason you get better service is because there is another company providing the credit cards for PayPal. The company is called Providian. They have great customer service unlike PayPal. I have used Providian for years and have yet to have a problem with them because they don't let criminals get away with fraud like PayPal does. I hate to see that Providian is involved with PayPal because I will not patronize any business that has any dealings whatsoever with PayPal. Good Luck getting your problem solved. PayPal and their staff of goons will most likely try to blame you even if they are at fault.

I have never used Providian but I have heard many horror stories about them. Thier visa classic card has 47% rating on epinions, which isn't very good. But compared to PayPal's customer service, I guess you could call many things good.

Reesiesmom: PayPal totally ignored me. I emailed Damon and he ignored me. Then I got some great advice to complain to PayPal's insurer Travelers. Then PayPal wanted to help me.

is there an email address for Travelers? so far i've written the Attorney General for Nebraska and California, and i've also contacted Troubleshooter.com. The guy that runs it has a National Radio Show, and he's like a big consumer advocate. He likes to take on high profile cases, and help people get their money. I know he hates Ebay though, so his attitude about the paypal scam might just be "told ya so."

Hi Flaoisland,
I have been out of the office for nearly a week. I am still catching up on my email load (there were over 500+ when I came back). My apologies for any delay that you have experienced.
