Happy Birthday to the husbands!

If Dec. 26th men make the best husbands I guess I should have gone to THAT after Christmas sale! Mine is a Gemini, born on May 31st. He is very strange.Yet compelling. Everyone loves him but then they don't live with him! LOL!

Maui,

What a wonderful thread of "fluff"! You know don't you that I am never going to forget that, don't you?

I second or third the Happy birthday to Mr. Nobs. We all know that he has such a hard task of keeping Nobs in check.

Also a birthday greeting to Mr. mybidness.

Rawbunzel,

My dh is also a Gemini. I could say the same BUT I won't.

I am afraid if I did this wold have the possibility of turning into a gripefest about dh's then the same would happen about dw's.

Why do they call husbands, dh and wives dw? Really! Does anyone ever call their husbands that or wives for that matter? I have a big problem with calling someone a name I don't use. I call him many things but dh is not one of them.

Maui,

I remember when it was suggested that your "fluff" (not my word but I'll laugh at it!) was just that and had no place and others argued for it.

It makes me think of the phrase ," the more things change the more they stay the same".

Just because one thread doesn't appeal to me doesn't mean I think they should end. I am not saying my feathers don't get ruffled at times.

I haven't counted but I doubt I have ever started over one or two threads but I enjoy those of you who do. I just read what is here.

The first time I saw "my dh" all over a board I was able to surmise that the people meant their husbands but could not figure out what it stood for and so my husband and I wracked our brains.
dumb hick
dick head
damned husband, etc.
These were mostly my husband's guesses and then finally I asked.

Verymodern, it can vary from day to day. Sometimes they act like a dh, sometimes they don't!

I heard, depending on the day, it can mean "dear husband" or "damn husband". heh

Happy Birthday, Mr. Nobs!

Late again, naturally. Just ask Mrs. Nobs! LOL!
