Well this past year to date sure has had some strange weather. It is 101 degrees here in my town today March 1st. In my entire life of 59 years I don't ever remember it being this hot this time or year. Triple digits, If this is any indication of what our summer is going to be like in Texas (I am in North Central Texas near Wichita Falls) then we are in for it I am afraid. Just 10 days ago it was around 16 degrees. This is ridiculous.

Irked, it's from greenhouse emissions. That's why it's so important to get Bush to sign Kyoto - the U.S. is the biggest polluter.

Gotta just love those who believe that's the cause. LOL LOL LOL

------

But you're correct irked...it's been that way all of this winter all over.

We're loving our 87 degree weather for the past couple of days. But just in the past week or two...we were down, at night, in the mid 30's.

weird...for sure.

I hope you don't melt in the dead heat of your summer. Got that A/C tuned up?

There is no more Kyoto agreement to sign....

Kyoto Protocol Declared 'Dead' at UN Climate Conference
By Marc Morano
CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer
December 06, 2005

Montreal (CNSNews.com) - The Kyoto Protocol on climate change was declared "dead" by several organizations attending the 11th annual United Nations Climate Change Conference this week in Montreal.

"It's dead, but no one wants to pull the life support system," Bill O'Keefe of the Washington-based George Marshall Institute told Cybercast News Service on Monday while attending the conference.

"Kyoto is flawed, it is not going anywhere. It simply is not going to happen. There is no available technology that is going to make [the size of greenhouse gas emissions required by the protocol,]" O'Keefe said of the protocol's 2012 goal of getting top industrialized nations to cut their industrial emissions by 5.2 percent from the level that was produced in 1990. The United States has not signed on to the treaty.

The Marshall Institute, which "encourages the use of sound science in making public policy," takes a skeptical view of alarmist global warming.

Oh and what about this for global warming...

Global Warming Dumps Record Snow In NYC
Monday, February 20, 2006

NEW YORK, New York --- New York City felt the horrifying impact of global warming over the weekend. The man-made phenomenon caused a record 26.9 inches of snow to be dumped. Al Gore, a global warming expert who invented the Internet, called on George Bush to divert bombs from Iraq in order to bomb car manufacturers and power plants in the United States.

"We are in a dire situation on planet earth," said Gore. "It's time to stop being snippy and just bomb all producers of greenhouse gas. George Bush is responsible for 100 years of global warming, but he can make up for that with one bombing campaign."

The ONLY reason Bush won't sign Kyoto is because it will hurt the economy which is in bad shape.

Let's see....the logic there

seems to be...that if it's DEAD....Bush should sign it. LOL

okay.

And that article was from Montreal? Isn't THAT part of Canada any more?

HUH? Classic? LOL

Hey love the warm weather but man is it early to be hitting that temperature. What a freak of nature this day has been. It was up in the 90 yesterday and only got to 75 last night. I hear it is going to be bit cooler this weekend though.

Twig: sure glad I don't live there then if it is supposed to snow, burr....

Hey, isn't Kyoto the one who lived in OJ's house? LOL---joke----

My wife is headed to New Orleans tomorrow a long 12 hour drive and it is supposed to be mid 70s thru weekend. She is all excited to get to go with her brother to a wedding down there and see the damage first hand. LOL that didn't sound right. Damage to N.O. not the wedding. If she gets any good pictures we'll share some here or give a link to them.
