Got right idea on getting back to normal but sure do need to fix the real problems. Too much red tape not enough doers. Sad --things aren't going smoother for any of the hurricane troubled cities, yet the news always centers around N.O. Makes me want to kick some butt. Where do I start, AT the TOP. But I am happy that they can have a little fun if but for just a moment.

Life goes on and many try to make the best out of a bad situation. I wish them all good from now on.... the human spirit is amazing at times.

Saw last night on news that they are working 24/7 on putting angled pilings down 79 feet and have done 1200 of them so far with 1100 left to do. that is just one section and the guy siad it would still let water over if hurricane 5 but would not break? Who knows.
My wife is headed that way tomorrow and plans to make a tour of the area with friends that live down there.

I just didn't make it this year...oh....wait...I've never been.
A friend of mine was down there over the New Year's holiday and said it smells bad everywhere. She didn't feel clean until she showered at home. I would imagine the city as one huge hazmat. Not someplace I'd want to party. At least, not yet.
