...is anyone making any new years resolutions?

Or have you given up on those?

Yes, I have a few goals:

1. Quit smoking,
2. Make $100K in extra cash with my online
Business, (not the church)
3. Get in shape.
4. Fight the red and pink tides control over
the internet and anywhere else.
5. Find a rich, younger (40's) mistress that
owns a bar.
6. Get organized. This should be at the top
of the list.

I'll have others but I can't think of them at the moment. I've already started on the organization fighting the red/pink tide and the $100k.
I'm open to suggestions on the rich mistress.

Amen,

Great list Colin. Of course my favorite you've chosen is your #4.

On your #1....last time piinthesky posted, he said he had great success in stopping with the inhaler. You might consider trying that too.?

Is that 40ish mistress the one that you expect to help you obtain your #5 goal? LOL Good luck on that one.

One of mine is to start selling again on ebay.

That's almost always a big chore. I didn't put one up this year....so won't have to deal with taking it down. First year with no tree.

No, but I've decided to only make resolutions that I can keep.

Colin and Cheryl, I have a couple of friends that quit smoking using laser. I have no idea how it works, but he smoked 2 packs a day and she was close to that. It's expensive - around $400.00, but they've both been smoke free for 2 years now. Both say they have never had a craving to smoke since.

Cheryl, I like your number #3

My father used tp always be saying he was "getting organized" (you know like, G*Dammit) and I always thought that was funny how he was "getting" but he never really "was" or stayed so..

Kraft, I saw that on TV. It works like acupuncture on the nerve endings, only around your nose and ears and stuff. One woman's testimony sounded very convincing. How much of that is marketing I don't know, but she said nothing else worked for her. Lots of people try many times before they actually succeed for good, so maybe it was timing for her too?

Double, I think 50% of every "cure" comes from your mind, so I agree with you. But they do claim a 98% success rate (the one here). Thanks for telling me how it works. I thought it was stupid when I first heard it - like it would only work on really suggestive people.

P.S. Did you have a good Christmas?

A friend of mine quit with one acupuncture treatment. That normally runs around $85 here. I could get the treatments for free and may look into doing just that. Since I wouldn't be paying for the treatments, I really have nothing to lose. I already get treatments for my back, so what have I got to lose? So I'll probably leak like a sieve when I drink anything. At least I won't be smoking.

I've got a great NY's resolution and have been able to keep it for the last 20+ years...

Dont make a New Years resolution

I think Ebay has a NY's resolution.. that is to spy on everyone! I just received an email from them telling me it was time to stock up on products that I have bought during the year.
I didn't know they kept tabs on me.

I agree, Bear. There's not much I could improve on, so I'm always stumped come New Year's.

Good for you, Double! Hard to believe 2006 is coming up - yikes. And thanks... yes he's been cremated.

My wife asked me to PLEASE not buy any more horses, or shotguns, so I guess that's first (and most difficult) on my list, especially the horses.
Beyond that, I resolve to never drink cheap Whiskey ever again. Come to think of it, if I don't buy any more shotguns or horses, I'll be able to afford better whiskey. Talk about a win-win deal.

My New Years resolution is to be nicer to others. Stop smoking is probably a bust so not going for that--- cause if I have to be nice then I will need a smoke screen for sure.

Can't touch this! hu huh, uh huh.
