Near, Lily is such a blast. She's always laughing! Your tree and house look amazing. Where do you store all those lights?

NearTheSea - GREAT pics...of the house, the tree and most of all of Lily. How precious she is. Looks like 'Santa' was good to all of you....as well he should have been. Happy New Year's to you, Mike and the whole family.

Hey all, hope you had a great Christmas and the best New year!
Thanks colin! Classic, if your serious about the drapes, I did not pick them out, Mike did! I think we fought at the store over them LOL! I didn't want the 'tasseled ones' but he won, and now I am used to them
Ron, I do have fun with her, but there comes a point.......... ya know I do watch her everyday, so it can be pretty tiring! We even remodeled one bedroom for her, or rather any grandkids! (but running after her all day, I could be running off 5 pounds a day!! gotta check that )
kraft, the tree has the lights on for good, and it comes off and folds up in 3 sections, and the lights outside, and the decoration in EVERY ROOM, all go into the attic. I have the living room, dining room, family room all decorated!! There were a lot of people here, and on Christmas Eve day there was THEE football game going in the family room(yeah Seahawks! they *might* go to the Super Bowl!!)
Cheryl! yeah, but most presents were for this child! She doesn't realize it yet, but she is spoiled!
I just noticed in the 6th picture, the one of the outside of the house, my CAT is in the middle of the road he's ok, he likes to follow me! Can't go for a walk, unless we lock him up in the house!!

Hi Linda! just noticed ALL the smileys in my above post! LOL!
yep it basically was Lilys Christmas!
And I do have tons of Christmas stuff! And I do plan on going through it and start giving it to both daughters soon. A lot of it inside was my grandmothers. So they will have things from me (and her) in their own homes.
But as they tell me, they are not ready for Christmas at their homes yet! I started a new tradition, sort of, giving them each a Christmas decoration for their house. But of course they all got their 'bigger'! presents
(they are all, even the SIL, just kids at heart! and mind! LOL)

NTS - I did just that about three Christmas' ago. Of course my sons are older than your girls. But now it's so nice to go to their houses for Christmas and see four generations of decorations and tree ornaments displayed in their homes. Life goes on....traditions are passed along and it's wonderful.
One of our oldest family decorations is a manger set that belonged to their Great-Grandmother/father who had purchased it when they were first married back in 1919. A lovely set from Italy that now is being enjoyed by their great-great grandchildren....five generations later.
And I love all your smilies....there is lots to be happy/smile about....enjoy...especially the new additions to our families.

Oh Near! She is just adorable! Such a happy face!I just want to squeeze her.
Is that Lake Washington I see in the background? Nice view!
I left you a note in the other baby thread. Cute pictures there too.

rawbunzel, no, not Lake Washington, we do have a view of the Cascades, and a tiny view of Mt Rainier
I do babysit everyday, my daughter went back to work part time at the bank, hours are 10-3. Not bad. Took her to the peditrician yesterday and she got a polio shot she was late on.
She's a good baby, but damn, she has to be watched every second, I turned around and she was almost to the top of the stairs the other day!
I looked and looked, and could not find a bigger playpen, the 'pak and play' she has,we only use for sleeping in now, till she can sleep in the toddler bed here.
I really need to find a bigger playpen, the old kind that was a decent size, totally square and wooden. I googled it, and there are none here (that I could find) but Britian still makes them!

By the time you find one she'll be too wise to use it. Let her explore and enjoy her environment! Play pens are for future dunces. LOL!

I know! But this place, there is noway I can 'barricade' the stairs, and I can just envision her tumbling down the stairs! She already 'tumbled' down the first 3!
In her parents home, they have a huge area 'gated', and she has her bedroom.
she does have a bedroom here, its not finished yet!
Did they recall all playpens? Though I did see a really cool one on TV somewhere, it was 'inflatable' and round, looked cool, don't know how good it is for a baby!
Helen, do you remember how it was chasing after a toddler? I do, and am reliving it now!! or LOL!
