I need to cancel an item I have up for sale. eBay has it listed (and it's heavy) as free shipping, which wasn't my intention at all. Where can I go to cancel this? ~Adele

Never mind! After searching all over the eBay site, I googled my question and got an answer immediately. Good grief. What have we come to, that another site has more answers to eBay than eBay deems fit to provide!

I'm sorry that I did not find your post sooner. I could have helped.

These sites are much too large. It is too difficult to find an answer quickly.

Hello,

FWIW, I to always run to Google and say 'eBay end listings early' - when im looking for their form.

Sure, I should save it as a bookmark, but I always know Google will save me when im in a pinch.

=)

Regards,
Chris

I never thought of Googling when I spent an hour a few days ago trying to help a friend who is a fairly new Seller.
She had received an unwarranted Neg and I wanted to tell her how to put in a reply on her Feedback page and they have hidden the 'Reply to Feedback' so deep but I finally found it.

Great idea...I shall Google from now on...HOW SAD it has come to this!

I added "End my listing early" as a shortcut on "My Ebay" view. It is next to impossible to find things on eBay any more.

Yes, Ebay makes anything they don't want you to easily find so difficult. It is like a scavenger hunt. Whenever I finally "find" such links, I always bookmark them for future use!!

I click on the words site map, that will lead the way to finding what you need.
On the very bottom of any listing there is a treasure trove of info to click on to.
They sure do make it hard to find, and I found it just by accident.

So that's where they put the site map (at very bottom of listing in teeny tiny/not bold script! I thought they did away with it altogether. Thanks's David's mom

Where there's a will, there's a way!

I do think I'll be phasing out completely with eBay after I've sold a few things I have here. (However, "a few things" keep popping up, so I'm really not sure!) For me, it's not worth the time.

Neglus, I was in the desert Tuesday shopping with a friend, temp at 98, and I thought I would pass out. I do not know how people can live in that climate, at least in the warmer months. We shopped on Paseo and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, treating ourselves to cheesecake (what else?) for dessert. To die for.

Let me know when you're coming this way again. ~Adele

I will be out in the Fall - daughter in Vegas expecting our first grandchild in November so expect I will be visiting a lot next Fall and Winter. I don't think I could stand the 100+ temps in the desert in the summer either - even dry heat is hot then! I will let you know of CA plans come October!

I'm easing out, too. At least for a store. Why should I pay Ebay a store subscription fee each month & higher FVFs when I can list 50 items free each month with free BIN if I do not pay Ebay for a store?

Plus, they keep giving nonstore people extra promos. Another one starts tomorrow. If something does not sell, I can just keep relisting it since it is FREE.

Plus, plus, starting in July, everyone gets free pics.

It really is a no brainer unless you have 100s of items to list.

I google EVERYTHING.

When I had problems with my wi-fi connnection, I googled it.

When I wanted to learn how to record songs off of Youtube, I googled, "how to record youtube songs on my mac."

When I have a car problem I google the problem with the make/model.

The best way is to be specific with keywords. Like, "Mac, YouTube, Record Songs"

I learned this trick a few years back when I purchased my first Mac and took classes. The instructor would do it all the time.

That free shipping will kill you when you forget about it and then lower your price on something.
Just wondering - why not just edit it and change the shipping? Did you already have a bid?

Yeah I don't know what we did before Google either. Go to the library I guess.
