I have a large Longaberger basket with a wood stand. Does it have a specific name/use? There's another just like it currently on eBay but it's just listed as "Longaberger Basket" and I'd like to be able to identify it further. It's dated 1994. Thanks for any help.

Size please. It might be a magazine rack if it is large enough. Someone who knows will be along in a minute or so. Or if the stand is separate and fits inside it could be a double pie carrier if it is the right size.

Thanks all! It's about 12 inches square and 6 1/4 inches tall. And, yes, the stand does fit inside...I never thought of that so it definitely could be a pie carrier. I'll check it out!

There's a very similar one on eBay now item 120210483564 - 1985 magazine basket with legs. Oops, I didn't notice it is on a stand unattached.

Just checked closed auctions and there's one from 1985. Looks exactly like mine except this one has a lid and mine doesn't. Maybe they deleted the lids in later editions? Thanks so much for the help...The one you mentioned, pixie, has legs actually on the basket and my stand is separate. Plus, looks like the magazine basket is a bit larger/taller than mine. I'm thinking mine is probably a pie carrier. Appreciate the help...

blueyes29, by your photo, it sure does not look to be square

Yes, I see what you mean...but it is. I guess taking the photo "at eye level" distorts the image. Perhaps I'd better re-take the photo before listing...Thanks for the observation.

Pretty sure it's not a picnic basket...those appear to be rectangular...and have covers. I also think Yogi is cute!

I agree that it's probably not a picnic basket. They're much larger than that, and they do have covers. Imagine getting dinner plates, glasses, silverware, napkins, tablecloth, all the stuff someone out there thinks we need to a picnic (instead of a paper bag!). Go to QVC and search for Longaberger. They've sold them in the recent past, in different sizes with different names. You might get the answer that way.

Thanks, Roadsmith...Tried QVD and searched "Longaberger"...apparently, they don't sell them anymore as the search ended up blank. There were lots of Peterboro baskets though...

At least we can be sure it isn't this basket!

It may be called a magazine basket with legs.

blueyes: My apologies! It's Peterboro that QVC carries. (I think the products are very similar?)

It does look like a magazine basket with feet and without a top...is that a liner inside?

Looks like the prototype for the office building LOL..that's really cool!

Cool photo of the Longaberger headquarters...who'da thunk it? I really don't think it's a magazine basket as those seem to be taller than mine. What do I know though...obviously, not a whole lot about baskets! Thanks for the advice...
