That's OK...I was hoping it was: FINNISH because, from what I've read, Finnish cards are RARE?

On card number 3. Many people of Scandinavian decent live in the Minnesota area try Sweden or Netherlands etc. You have the date 1908 look at a few of these countries uniforms.
Also babble fish works ok for translations for me. But keep in mind some of this could be old style German and Scandinavian languages etc. and not in a current translations

No, I was right. It is Danish.
That's the language I would be speaking if my family didn't get on the boat and all I can say is THANK GOODNESS they did get on the boat because my mouth does not work that way. I know how to say "Merry Christmas" and "sit down and eat your dinner" in Danish and that's enough for me.
There is a language identifier on this page:

Keerrect Danish. Whitney Made usually dates in the 1920's. The 3rd card has tour buses at the theater. A description of the card can be found here. fficial%26hs%3Dfrk">http://72.14.203.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.tremoncard.de/ansichtskarten/detail.php%3Fnum%3D32146&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dkvg%2Bauto%2Brundfahrten%2Bdresden%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US fficial%26hs%3Dfrk.
I'm not sure of the nationality of the last card.

Actually, I think card one is Norwegian ... or Danish. The church will probably tell you which, Trondheim maybe?
It says
Praise to the Lord in the Highest/and Peace on Earth/and Contentment to Mankind/Hallelujah!
Number two is the City Opera in Dresden, and I believe that means the Terminal for the Sightseeing Bus. Pre-WWII but not by much.
The soldier, hard to tell. Try the Historical Memorabilia board on eBay. They're slow but thorough.

I'm 100% sure the first card is Danish, which is very similar to Norwegian.

Interesting that the hat on the last card is reminiscent of civil war era garb which does not fit at all with the lady's attire. I would probably list it as Soldier kissing lady 1908 romance postcard

IMHO - Dresden was in Germany when it was published, not East Germany. Edited to add: I wonder why the lister chose to list the item as East Germany? Does it bring higher prices?

EAST GERMANY would date this card AFTER 1945...
But, the card looks like 1920's or '30s...
Anybody have a better idea as to: DATE?
THANKS!

An afterthought, Tom. Norwegian cards (usually non-greeting) are some of the most saleable postcards on eBay. Finnish are so-so. Small towns and Kristiania (Oslo) sell best. Edited to add: another tip - many collectors, myself included, are extremely adverse to adding continental (larger than standard size) cards to our collection. Standard size postcards circa 1960 bring me equivalent income to 1910 postcards but larger, more recent postcards, bring me nothing.

The more I gaze, gawk at the "soldier", I am thinking he is not a military solder.
If he is a soldier he is ill prepared, not properly equipped for a fight or battle. He does not have a gun or any weapon.
I think he is a General in the Casanova Regiment

I'm pretty sure his uniform is based on a U.S. ARMY ENLISTED MAN, c. S-AMERICAN WAR after looking at approximately 10 pics...
The HAT is the clincher...
Must say, he is a randy young goat, tain't he?!
