Instant Seller nightmare!

Bid Assistant

Can't you just see the emails rolling in ... I did not bid on this item. Ebay bid just because I put the item on my watch list, yada, yada.

Or heaven forbid, as screwy as ebay has been lately, a glitch in their wonderful new software does indeed start auto bidding for items on watched lists.

Sorry to be so negative but I am feeling seriously burned out from dealing with all the ebay and Payal system changes/problems, the new USPS rate hikes, increased customer emails and I guess just life in general.

Look out for a possible fee increase. A powerseller friend of mine got a survey this week and he said the last time he got a survey the fees went up shortly after. He filled it all out and emphasized that fees were high now and it would be a mistake to hike them any more. Thanks for the heads up on the bid assistant, I will go and cancel all of my watch list. I just want to watch them, not necessarily own them!

I received the survey too even though I am not a powerseller,I get the impression Ebay is trying to find out which features to keep,to expand and which to phase out,for example,EBAY stores,Ebay Express,My Ebay etc.

Oh, boy...seems like everytime they do a "survey" they come up with another non-working feature or make a change that makes life harder.

Their justification is "overwhelming support from the community".

Just be careful when you bend over for a while...

Seems they borrowed this feature from esnipe. I've used it on there, and it makes sense when you have similar items (ie. widget for your camera etc) without having to go back and redo everything.

I can think of several eBay purchases I've made when this would have been a helpful tool. I.E., I wanted a specific scanner model for backup. There were 4 listed on eBay, none with BIN. I didn't want to win more than one of them., so I had to bid on them one at a time, watching them closely for ending times. I won the third one I bid on but it was a PITA for a simple scanner purchase.

Does ebay charge for this service? If they don't now I bet they will in the future.
