OMG, hard to admit I'm so tech challenged (or just plain computer dumb to be exact). I don't spend a lot of time on the computer but I know I should empty the cache and was told how to do it once, but for the life of me I can't remember. Would some nice smart person out there please help?
Things are running slower than usual here and I'm betting that's why. I have HP desktop, windows XP, ATT Yahoo, ....don't know what else you might need to know... Thanks so much for your time.

Go to Control Panel> Network and Internet Connections> Internet Options> On the General tab of Internet Properties, under Temporary Internet file, delete Cookies and Delete Files

The best feature of the recent Firefox browser update is that you can choose to have your cache cleared and cookies deleted when you close the program.

agitprop,
I was being kind to myself with the "computer dummy" handle...it's really even worse than that. I not only have not used firefox, I don't even know what it is.
