If you qualify and opted out of Ebay Express, you may want to give it another try. The new ebay header (lovely as it is *cough, cough*)gives EE prominent placement underneath the search box. I opted out months ago because EE seemed to adversely affect search on .com and Google. I had only 1 sale from EE and couldn't find my items except through a seller search.
I opted back in two weeks ago. I have had 10 sales through EE and can actually find my items sometimes! The sales aren't earth shattering but perhaps they are 10 sales I might not have otherwise had and I didn't have to pay more to list there...so why not?

The reason I dumped EE was because it restricted my PayPal option to BLOCK payments for shipping to UNCONFIRMED ADDRESSES...
This BLOCK is NICE...
If I open up for EE, I have to change my PP preferences to "yes or no" option -- it puts the onus back on to ME...
As Ralphie advises: "Make up yer mind, old geezer!"

I can understand that problem Tom. I don't have to worry much with my low ticket pc's but I don't blame you for caution with your scales.

Lady, if you opt in, you opt in for all eligible listings. The best way to exclude some items is to make them miss one of the criteria listed below. I finally gave in to Neglus' nagging and opted in. Whoopie - I got a sale!
Listing Criteria for eBay.com
* List using any of the following formats: Fixed Price, Store Inventory, or Auction-style with Buy It Now.
* Fill in the item condition field in Item Specifics, using pre-defined values such as New or Used (some categories exempt).
* Use Pre-Filled Item Information for listings within Books, DVDs & Movies, Music, and Video Games.
* Include shipping costs (flat, calculated or free) in the shipping fields.
* Provide a picture (some categories exempt).
* Allow shoppers to purchase multiple items with single payments. Specify this on the Preferences page within My eBay. Look for the Shipping and discounts section.
* Use eBay checkout or the new checkout integration API (for 3rd party order processing).
* Items must be located in the US.
* Individual items must not exceed $10,000.00.

Keywords in title seem to serve an extra function in eBay Express - i.e.; if you have Hotel or Restaurant in the title but have listed the item in Postcards>US Views>Oregon category, it will show up in both Postcards>Oregon AND Postcards>Hotel & Restaurant topics. Wonder if the rocket-scientist new search on eBay will work the same way.

I am soooo confused. I decided to try dome things in Ebay Express, but am pulling out my hair. I am not stupid, but this experience is making me think I am missing several chromosones.I changed my PayPal preferences to accepting unconfirmed addresses, which I am not happy about, but this is an experiment. I had the darnest time finding that. It was much easier before, they seem to have hidden it since the last time I was there.
Now, I listed a book, which I thought was part of the categories for EE and this is the message I got:
We're sorry, this item doesn't qualify for eBay Express.
This item currently meets all of the criteria for eBay Express. It will be added to eBay Express shortly.
What the heck does this mean?? Is it in there or not!! Thanks!!
There's more rules than Ralphie can shake his "stub" at, so, review all these:
Seller requirements:
Sellers who want their items to appear on eBay Express must:
Maintain a feedback score of at least 100 or more, 98% positive or better.
Maintain a public feedback profile.
Be registered as a U.S. registered seller, or Canadian registered seller shipping from the U.S.
Support your listings with a PayPal Premier or PayPal Business account.
Ensure your PayPal account settings are set to ship to unconfirmed addresses or make sale-by-sale decisions ("Ask me for unconfirmed addresses".
Listing requirements:
List on eBay.com.
List in Fixed Price, Store Inventory or Auction-style with Buy It Now format.
Items must be located in the US.
Use Pre-Filled Item Information for listings within Books, DVDs & Movies, Music, and Video Games.
Allow shoppers to pay by single, combined payments for their purchases. You can specify this by going to your Selling Preferences within My eBay. Look for the Combined Payments and Shipping Discounts section.
Use eBay checkout or the new checkout integration API (for 3rd party order processing).
Listings must include a photo, the item condition via Item Specifics, and shipping costs in the shipping fields

Hi Tom, I read all of the massive rules and they said I as a seller was eliglible. Then I went to the categories and found an item that fit those rules, then I got that response: "We're sorry, this item doesn't qualify for eBay Express.
This item currently meets all of the criteria for eBay Express. It will be added to eBay Express shortly." How can it meet all of the criteria but not qualify and what does added shortly mean if it doesn't qualify." Head is spinning!!

Tom, exactly!!
Neglus, I went and did a search on EBay Express and they listed all sorts of additional categories and I did another search and found items identical to mine. I also did the customized display to see where my items were listed in case they were already on Ebay Express and I cannot see anything that idicates EE. I don't know what else to do. So many changes and so many new things to figure out - listing format, new, feedback, new, postal rates, new. I think I need a nap.
