I'm doing some spring cleaning and have some stuff to list on eBay. I noticed that some CDs I bought had a preprinted eBay/USPS adhesive postage/label combo. I've looked all over eBay and there's plenty of info on how to print postage/labels but nothing on the requirements for the labels or a source for buying them. Could anyone tell me anything about requirements? Or what you use and where you got them?

Thanks in advance for any help,
SV

If you only have a few things to ship, you may just want to print out the labels on plain white printer paper and tape them onto the package. Otherwise, self-stick labels are available commercially, but they can be pricey. Avery is one manufacturer. They are 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and come two per sheet. The actual shipping label prints on one label and the receipt prints on the other, so you use one sheet (two labels) for each shipment.

As for suppliers, USPS sells these labels in their shipping supplies section, but they are really expensive. I have purchased them from U-Line, but there are other suppliers who now seem to have better deals. Do a Google search for "shipping labels" and you will find many vendors.

To add to what jemsgifts said you can use the Avery labels or Staples has full sheet labels you can buy and you will just need to cut them in half after they print.

Also in PayPal you can set your preferences to not print out the receipt with the label. So you can actually use each sheet to ship two shipments. Really there is not need to have the receipt printed on "label" paper and this allows you to send out twice as many shipments for the same label cost.

I ordered my 2 to a page labels off ebay. I got 2 boxes for almost nothing. But I think the seller signed me up with a UPS account as all the labels say UPS. I use them anyway and never had a problem.
Why not call UPS and see if they still have them - they may even still be free. Don't get 2 boxes - I've been using them for a few years now and just opened the 2nd box.
