I found this listing while doing research and thought it was so clever I had to share. Auction number 190056222568.
They would most likely be used in crafting projects, I would guess. The listing used one example -- a sign. Or a house address number. Maybe hung on fishing line in a breezy area for wind chimes?

You're right aintrichyet! There are a lot of key collectors out there. And speaking for myself, I still have old interior doors in my house that use the skeleton keys (all bedrooms and to the old pantry). I have even purchase old keys for use in antique wooden chests, boxes, etc. If you lose one, they are hard to find. So I can see why they are getting a good price on eBay.

I found a box full of old skeleton keys some time ago and sold them for good money. Who knows why, who cares?
