Do you have "edit" at the top of your browser? You can highlight and then right click on your mouse to copy and paste or you can hold down the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard and press "c" for copy and "v" for paste.

Or you can right click your mouse and choose copy or paste from the little drop-down on the right.

What I did today, and often do if I download something and then find things are messed up is Restore to earlier date. Click on
Start-All Programs-Accessories-System tool-System restore and then restore my computer to an earlier date and follow the directions. If it doesn't work, it's easy to undo it again. It has got me out of a lot of problems.

babs - what browser are you using?
You do have to highlight something before the right click on the mouse will work - if it still doesn't work, try the "ctrl"-"c" on your keyboard. I rarely use the "edit" option to copy and paste

put your mouse cursor click at the beginning or the end of area of text you want to copy right click and drag your mouse up or down in direction of the text to copy it will highlight then right click on top of the highlighted area and choose copy or you can do the ctrl plus c key to copy the text. now when you go to paste you put cursor in area to paste right click and choose paste or use the ctrl key plus V key at same time and it paste the text into area you chose.
If you are using internet explorer 7 with the tabbed browsing they hid the buttons you had in the IE6 browser. You can still copy and paste that way too from the edit on the browser top if you have that showing but by default they hide that too right click on an empty space of the top of the browser and you can add buttons to it by customizing toolbar option on that right click.
Hope that helps.

Babs - do you know how to left click on your mouse and drag to highlight text on the screen?
If you do, then right click after you've done that on the highlighted text.
It will then give you the option to copy.
Place your cursor where you want it to go -- in another document, or another screen, etc.
Then, right click again - and you'll see that the "paste" is in dark letters and you can click on it and waaa laaa --- it'll put the text where you want it to go.
Hope this helps a bit.

babs - You press down on the left button of your mouse and pass it over the selection you want to copy. That should highlight the selection. THEN you right click on the mouse and select COPY. Go to the place where you want to paste and then right click again and you should get the PASTE option

Thanks neglus, I put wrong click on my thing above. Left click to highlight. Don't know my left from my right. I was going to edit my response but the edit button or link seems to have up and left the building. Anyone else lose the edit link? by your post?
I looked if using IE 7 tabbed browser you can add the copy edit tools to the command browse right click on blank space out from the tabs and choose Customize Command browser and then chose add remove commands that is where they hid the tools to add to your browser for quick access.
I had to correct my above statement down here since the edit was gone.
Edited to add ====WELL dipido the edit is now back. weird! sorry for my panic. LOL

What amber said to do what I would do.
Have used it many times & it's very easy. Just pick a day before you updated google & it will bring everything back as it was. Everytime I have a problem I restore to an earlier date, works everytime.
I don't know much about computers either, but this is one of the easiest things to do.
If I can do it you can too.
