How do I show proof of delivery to Paypal? I have an newby with 2 negs and 0 feedback file a non delivery dispute. the item should be delivered tomorrow. I have not had the pleasure of dealing with a dispute yet. this is my first. How do I show proof of delivery? Is there a specific email address to address this issue? Do I just put the dispute number along in the subject window.
TIA

I haven't got a lot of experience in this area, but in the last Paypal dispute I had, I believe I was instructed to reply directly back to the email that was sent to me from Paypal and asked to include answers to a few of their questions. The questions included when and where I shipped the item, a description of the item, how was it delivered (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc), and for the tracking/delivery confirmation number.

If the package has not been delivered yet, could you try contacting the post office of the buyer first thing in the morning? Maybe if you spoke to the postmaster and explained the situation, they could have the package returned to you rather than delivered. (There very well may be regulations preventing this, but it may be worth a try if you suspect mail fraud.) Of course, in this case you would be out of pocket on listing fees and postage costs, but if the item were costly, it might be worth the effort to have it returned just in case things don't go your way with Paypal.

I'm sorry that this has happened to you. Best of luck - I hope everything turns out in your favor.

Give PayPal the Delivery Confirmation number. At least, that's all I had to do. The buyer had not rec'd it but someone else did and PayPal did not take the money from me but did refund to the buyer. The "buyer protection" at work!

Morning. Thanks for your replies. I ship this Fedex. I will have proof that it was delivered. I just didn't see were I would send proof unless I just give Paypal that info including the tracking number. After almost 8 years, this is my first.

If he has filed a dispute,it should be recorded in your Paypal account,on the top of the page when you log in,it should say you have unresolved disputes etc.
Click on it and you should find his case and Paypal will instruct you what to do.

There is a place with paypal to record the tracking number without replying to the dispute at all. You have something like 10 days to reply and paypal limits the seller in their reply so I would put in the tracking now and wait to get the delivery confirmation.
Did you ship within 7 days?

You need to do a few things.

First and foremost, file a Non-paying bidder alert on ebay ASAP. Use the sender did not send payment as an excuse. Don't matter if they sent it via PayPal, just use this reason. If they drop the chargeback, then drop the NPB, otherwise file for your FVF's.

Second. Get your confirmation number and reply to the e-mail sent you. Fill in all of the info that PayPal has requested. The sooner you can do this, the better.

Did you send it to a confirmed address? If not, then don't waste your time with PayPal. Just file your FVF's with eBay and move on.

I'm confused. If the seller files a NPB, that's like saying he DIDN'T ship it...right? How is that going to help??

Ebay is Ebay and Paypal is Paypal-you fight this war on two fronts.
Filing non payment on EBay will hit him with a strike(3 strikes he will be out) and you get your final value fee back!
Does Ebay care if filing means you did not ship?Well, there is no human interpretation on Ebay end ,so??
If you did not ship to confirmed addr or the DC did not show it has been delivered, you will lose the Paypal dispute, not much you can do .
But at least you will get your final value fee back.

Well, the item has arrived & I have proof. But he hasn't cancel the dispute yet. By the way, he is a newby with 2 negatives in his short history. so of course, I don't want him to rip me off as this was not my item but a clients. I have emailed him & paypal to indicate that the item has arrived. So far, no response from either parties.
I will wait 24 hours but any suggestions.

Ditto Annekila. Filing retaliatory NPB when he did pay just doesn't make sense to me and I think it could hurt your case.
