AH HA...Found it! I e-mailed a former customer who bought a similiarly-designed clay pot who was able to give me info. The vase is a Correia Art Glass/Limited Edition vase. I googled their site, got their phone number and spoke with a delightful artist. Because this vase is an older item(1989), she said it would take about a month to locate old records as her on-hand records only go to 2000. But she feels about 99.999% sure it's a philadendron leaf design. The company has been making art glass for 30 years and their work is represented in the Smithsonian, Metropolitan Art Museum, the White House and other museums. According to the artist, similiar items sell for around $400...I'd be delighted to get that on eBay but will be surprised. Anyway...thought those who might have been following the earlier post might be interested in the latest info...

I'd forgotten about the earlier customer (thank goodness I'm pretty anal about keeping records...he made the purchase in April!) but remembered the similiar design. As it turns out, this vase (aside from the design) is nothing like his purchase (a clay pot) BUT he was familiar with the company and was able to steer me in the right direction. The etched name on the bottom (which I thought was the artist's name) turned out to be the company name. Gem of Knowledge: It's not hard at all to research something when you know what it is and how to spell it correctly. Research IS fun and rewarding and one of the things I like most about selling consignment items. But, for those unmarked items that I haven't a CLUE about (like the aftaba I recently listed where some kind Vendio soul was able to provide the correct name...I certainly didn't know what it was called), I'll continue to rely on the expertise and generosity of those on this board. I was happy to find out info on this vase and, hopefully, some other Vendio folks will be able to use the information. Happy Holidays, all!

Congrats!, I would never have figured that spelling and I tried many. You might have a very special piece if you find the right venue to sell in if not ebay. Good luck with it. It is very pretty vase.
