I listed a vintage PLASTIC Burwood or Syrocco (I forget which) wall pocket. She bought it for $3.99. One bid. Description clearly stated "Plastic". Pictures showed it clearly and narrative was totally honest and correct. She wrote me that she was disappointed because it looked "cheap". Not that I had misrepresented. DUH! It WAS cheap. I wrote asking what she expected of me. I was nice. Then, I get zapped with NEG! She has 14 transactions. I cannot believe it!!!!!! Just had to vent. I feel better now, (I think).

I would answer feedback with: Plastic stated in listing. You bid cheap, you won cheap - now you're complaining!

Ralphie would leave the following FB:

"Perfectly matches the pink flamingos in front of yer trailer!"

11/7/06: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I do hope you hadn't left feedback yet. But if you have lesson learned especially with newbies. I usually leave feedback when they have paid unless they are new then I seem to forget and wiat to see what they do. Learned this form past negs from newbies that were NPB. This was before they started that new policy of feedback can't even remember it right now but I would have avoided a neg last year if it had gone into effect 2 weeks earlier. just my luck.

Anyway hope you don't fret too much over the neg, just go in and respond to the neg with your own response.

Yeah I had that same bidder (not really) and my
description even said "light weight plastic". Short of saying this it a cheap piece of plastic junk, can't think what other terms I could have used.

To Shopchicly.. I relate to your feelings about an unfair neg. Mine was also from a newbie who gave me one because I didn't reply to her email within 24 hours. I was out of state with a sick mother. I wrote to this board and received a lot of support and advice from them. A good move. Here is what happened.. the error was indeed mine, I corrected it with a partial refund. Gave her a gracious neutral indicating that she needed to understand how Ebay works, blocked her from bidding, and then placed a few items for auction that I felt sure she would want. Can't thank people on this forum enough! The pain does go away.

Or better yet - leave her a negative and after a couple of days apply for mutual removal of the FB.
She may not care if it's neutral.
I still say that a buyer with less than 20 FB should not be allowed to leave less than perfect FB or at very least no negatives - they just don't understand the FB system yet.

OT - Tom can you have Ralphie send me a quick email. I lost his email address when my computer crashed!
