A poster on another board was frantic because not only had their account disappeared, they were able to re-register the same name. When they finally got threough to live help, they were told that their name was down 'for maintenance and would be back up soon. This from the Systems Announcement board:

While trying to access their eBay accounts, members may be seeing an error message saying they are not registered. We're aware of this issue and are working to fix it as quickly as possible.
While we're working on this issue, we ask users not to attempt accessing their accounts by re-registering a new account with the same User ID or email address.

I wonder if what would happen if someone else came in and registered your name while yours is "down for maintenance"?
That's a disaster waiting to happen.
Doesn't it seem that Ebay is having more than it's normal shares of glitches in the last few days?

My account asks me to sign in so I type in my password and I keep getting the sign in page...over and over and over. No error message, it's as if my password and account name doesn't work.

The issue has supposedly been resolved. After clearing cache & rebooting, I would contact live help if you are still having problems.

Nope Pixia, only eBay thinks the problem is fixed. My problems just started. I actually did not have any trouble today until about 30 minutes ago when everything went to heck.
I see the Systems board says they have resolved it but they have not.

Look on the bright side if you owe them money maybe it went away too. Don't know what I would do if it happened to me don't have naything on right now but check in daily anyway, just left there. Hope it works out for ya.
