Ok, Hi everybody...very long time lurker, rarely post. I just had to share with you my excitement. I have an auction going that I just can't figure why the bids are going so high for what it is, so I did a google search to find out if it was something they don't make anymore....Guess who came up 1st in the google search....How cool is that?
Back to your regularly scheduled program...slinking back into the shadows.

It's not a huge amount of money, it's just seems to be way to much for the item when you can buy new for about $6.00. I'm not sure if it's the color what.
I don't even understand all the stuff everybodys always talking about to get higer up in the searches, so I thought it was funny mine showed up #1.
Been so long since I posted here, I don't know how to do a link.
Just do a google search for "Charles Craft bread covers" Lot B is mine.
I have another lot of the same thing up and the price right now seems to be more what I was expecting.

Ok now I'm feeling like a big ding dong. The one thats showing up first in the list is'nt the one thats doing so well. It's the one with the red & teal in the lot.
Now you see why I was so shocked to even be there at all & you can also see why I rarely post.

Dumb question: What exactly are bread covers? Are they to put over the dough as it rises? I've never heard of a specific thing called that. When I used to make bread, I just grabbed a flour-sack towel or something.

No Stone, The link you posted is the one that shows up in the search first, but not the one that had the higher bid, although it's the same product but in a different cover.
Best I can figure what a bread cover is. It seems to be cross stitch fabric with the edges finished in a raveled edge and it is to put inside of bread baskets. I think the term is actually to describe the finished edge.
I just couldn't figure out why someone would bid $36.00 for 6 of them, when I can find them on-line for about $6.00 apiece.
Not complaining though, those 6 little pieces of fabric paid for the large lot I had purchased.
Thanks for the link. I remember a long time ago, there was little buttons to insert pics and links. Much simpler.

Stone,
Did you know that your auctions are promoting items from other sellers?
Hadn't really noticed that. I think I seen it one day and thought it was something that happened when the auction closed.
Is there something I can do about that.
Adding on after looking at auctions:
I see on a couple of my auctions that it is promoting more of my items, but don't see anywhere that I am promoting someone else's.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
