I am trying to date a piece of milk glass that actually has the aluminum tag still on it! Anyone know if a site that I can use to date it? I bet this one is from the 60's. It would be nice to know for sure.

Hocking --- speaking of hocky (hehe) Who would have ever thunk the Stanley Cup would belong to the Carolina Hurricanes ????
Not many years back, folks here in NC only knew bout one hockey event -when the USA whipped Russia in the Olympics - that was the only time this sport was ever actually watched in NC.
Heck, we just really started learning about this game a few years back. Dressing up in BIG-O suits looking like Michelon tire guys, then takin a club and push this thing around, then fighting and wrestling ever few minutes. All this is done on ice !!!!
Well the folks here in TRIAD thought, we are southerners but we need to be exposed to the finer things (HUH) , We have College Basketball -UNC, Duke, NC State, Wake Forest and of course we are the Nascar world!
We HAVE pro basketball- Hornets, now the BobCats we HAVE Pro Football -the other cats in town the Panthers .
Maybe we could branch out ... hmmmm NATURALLY pro hockey was the answer
When it comes to sports this is one gun-ho state. We love to play and party. We all warmed up to the ideal for this Canadian, Yankee USA , Russian, Swedish, game coming to town.
We got us a team, named them the Hurricanes (cuz we get lots of those in Carolina). The first few years we were bout to downgrade the name to Tropical Depression . Our boys did great on the fighting and wrestling but could not push that thing past the goalie .
But now we have that Big-O Cup. It ain't Nascar or even UNC-Duke basketball exciting but it has caught on.

Thanks Ray, that was a great place to start. I was able to date the label. I looked forever for that kind of info searching with google and couldn't find anything but stores.
