I know this sounds petty, but I wonder it there is a way to get rid of old negs that the user was later kicked off of ebay. I have a total of 11 negs over 7 years, and more than half came from people who are no longer with ebay because THEY were suspended, apparently for cause.

In a previous post, someone said something about negs that were over a year old were dropped...Was wondering about that too...Any info? My 3 are all over a year old and, I believe, all are NARU...but the "3 negs" are still there. I don't think this is a petty issue at all...

After 1 year the red 1 or 2 or what ever number of negatives you have showing up on the front page of the feedback forum will drop off and not show up as red numbers in the negative it will show a red 0 where once there was a 1 or 2 but if you had 2 at separate times that number would drop from 2 to a 1 and if no more negatives then down to 0 on the feedback Recent ratings box at top of feedback page after 1 year. Only if the person who left you a negative did so and did NOT respond to your Unpaid Item dispute or any dispute that number is taken off the total of negatives but the negative comment they left is still in your list with some sort explanation that it was not counting I don't know what it says others here and tell you.

There is no way to get rid of those negatives that a naru person left they are there for posterity sake. Unfair YES, Does Ebay care, NO. This is why it is good idea to respond to any negative or neutral feedback you might get with explanation of sorts. I had a negative just go off the box I got first of August last year that was from a ) feedback bidder Who did not pay, dispute answered on final day so their neg got to stay it was a retaliatory neg they were rude and hateful so I neg them they neg me I put explanation of Did not pay and they Neg me?? all it took to show what kind of person they really were. BUT that darn red 1 was there for exactly 364/5 days. That is what really po'ed me but I had over 1700 feedback and they had a negative 1 LOL Duh does that compute to a negative -100% compared to my 99.9% So didn't bother me so much other than having a stroke when Ebay said they can leave what ever feedback they want cause they answered the dispute. BULL CORN is all I got to say. LOL

Good luck
Edited for awful spelling and typing goofs. Mislaid prepositions, adverbs, nouns or any other English goofs I care not. LOL

Only 11 negs from bidders over 7 years is an awsome track record.

Wear your negs as badges of courage. It shows you don't give in to every pesky brat who threatens bad feedback for no good reasons.

I have over 5600 positives, and 3200 individual positive, half of my sales are repeat buyers. I try to treat everyone like I want to be treated. I have probably left not more than 10-20 negs myself. If I leave you a Neg, you certainly deserved it.

I just do not understand ebay's attitude toward sellers. It seems if you are kicked off of ebay for cause, both the positives and negatives you have left should be removed. It would keep the shill bidders down. Lets get real, my 3200 positives are a lot more important to me, than some shithead with a rating of only 12. This should be figured in by ebay for sellers who have 1000's of feedbacks.
