Just a heads up. Some on the boards at Ebay are having problems with insurance designations on the new Ebay calculator. I checked mine and it shows they way I input it.
However, when I click calculate, it brings me to the Payments Policy section of my Vendio template. I have to scroll down quite aways to find the "new" calculator all the way at the bottom.
I doubt buyers will know to do this.
I reported it to Vendio on the Sales Manager Pro board.
You might want to check your listings to see how the calculator interacts with your templates. I'd be interested to know if anyone else is having the same problem.

Is it vendio or ebay's calculator?
If you use Vendio SMPro how do you get an ebay calculator in there without editing each auction?
My vendio calculator has always been at the bottom.

OK I think I'm missing something here (again) but even if you use Vendio Checkout Redirect don't you still have to somehow get the shipping weight to ebay. Unless everything you mail is the same weight - how do you do that without editing each item after they are listed?

To use the ebay calculator you must have "I am specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout" sellected and either flat rate or calculated shipping rates.
Or if you do not want to use ebay checkout and use Vendio redirect you would need check the lower option to not specify shipping cost for ebay checkout.
No matter what option you use (other than flat rate) you need to input the shipping weight so either the ebay or vendio calculator can calculate the shipping charges. I myself have both calculators in my listing's. I have the "I am specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout" checked and in my global preferences in vendio I have that I do want the vendio calculator in my listing's.

iceicepenguin - isn't that just for vendio's calculator? I do that as well but I don't use ebay's calculator.
Mike I feel so thick headed about this but I'm just not getting it!! I know you use SMPro so you input the weight there but that's just for Vendio - right? If you use "I am specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout" and set it up for USPS - does the vendio weight that you enter get input to an ebay calculator or do you then have to edit the launched auction to input the weight?

I use SMPro most of the time and on occasion use the online method. The only thing I have to enter is the weight in either the online or SMPro versions.
As long as you have the shipping options and weight input and use the "I am specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout" option it sends the shipping information to ebay when you launch the listing. You do not need to input the shipping info in two places. If you also have set in your Vendio "Global Preferences" that you want a shipping calculator it will also place the Vendio calculator in your listing.
Your second option is if you sellect the "I am NOT specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout" the ebay calculator will not work and I don't think it will even show up in the listing. Only the Vendio calculator would show up in this case.
Your third option is to use only the ebay calculator. You would set your Vendio "Global Preferences" to not include a shipping calculator in your listing's and when making a listing sellect the "I am specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout". Now your listing will only have the ebay calculator.
So you have three options. ebay only, vendio only or ebay and vendio calculators.
In any case as long as you input the shipping carrier options and the weight and sellect "I am specifying shipping cost for ebay checkout" that's all ebay needs for their calculator.

Thanks Mike - I'm going to try it again. I appreciate the help as I find most of the time I use ebay invoice now but I always have to manually do the calculating. This will be a big time saver.
