Sometimes when i'm really bored, I will do some searches using words like, widget, doohickey, whatizit, whaddoyacallit, thingy, thingamajig, etc. I have found some strange stuff and also some neat stuff, like one time I found a booger jar. It was an old ceramic jar, with lid, about eight inches high and about six inches in diameter that had 'boogers' in raised letters on it. I bid on it but I was beat out by someone else.

Alright, you're probably asking yourself what a booger jar is for. You keep it on your kitchen counter and you keep money in it. If your house gets broken into, no crook is gonna reach into a jar marked boogers.

Do any of you ever do similar searches and what words do you use??

"Crap" and "crappy" are two of my favorites.

And one of these days I swear I am finally going to list the lot of "crap that didn't sell the first two times around."

You might try listing it as a boxlot of crap. Or how about a mystery box of crap?

It will be a box lot. A very odd, unrelated box lot. From soup to nuts!

Mystery auctions scare me.

I once did a title and description search on "butt ugly". Came up with some really strange things.

A few years back I found an old Navajo saddle blanket out in the barn in an old tack bin. It was greasy, full of moth holes, sweat stained , faded and frayed. On a lark I listed it as a "Butt ugly shabby chic Navajo blanket." A couple from California (imagine that) paid 97 bucks for it and were happy as clams. Left me glowing FB.
