This has been my worst week ever for negs. I have received 4 negs all from newbie buyers, that expect to get something new when the item clearly states it is used. I have been selling on ebay since it opened up, thats over 10yrs so I know what I am doing, but this has really been the worst week ever for me.

I know we were all newbie's at one time but I am just so p@# off because 4 negs in one week is to much, normally I would not care but these were stupid neg's, if they just would have contacted me I could have fixed there issues.

thanks for listening, anyone else having a bad week?

Yes, I am having a bad month also. Sales are off for me anyway because of tax season but I most of my sales are from Newbies with a big fat 0 behind their names where they just signed up that day. They are not paying for one reason or another.
I guess that I will have to go into my preferences once again to change my settings.

Unfortunately, you cannot set preferences to not accept bids from people with a 0 feedback. If you could I would be doing it right now.

I have 8 unpaid item disputes running right now.

fenix03. How is a newbie with 0 fb supposed to get feedback if you all block them. just curious.

Agate - 95% of the time - I agree with you completly. Today just want them all to get their experience from someone other than me.

I'm about to add handling to everyone of my newbies charges for my time teaching these idiots how to read and follow simple instructions, and understand that sellers do not put terms in their auctions just for the thrill of typing a few more sentences.

Tomorrow I'll probably feel differently but today I want them all to be someone elses problem.

One thing that I *think* (LOL) has helped me with newbies: If I'm concerned that a part of the description escaped the buyer ("used," "two small chips," etc.) I copy the description, print it, and include it when I ship the item, making sure that I have highlighted the paragraph the description was in.

Roadsmith-- in SMpro I use the highlight or background color highlight on text that I want to stand out in my description so it is not missed---hopefully. I use the HTML editor then on certain text I use the backcolor plus bold(icon with the bucket of paint) I highlight very important details with this in a light gray or some color that lets you read and draw attention to those statements. NOW if they ignore that is it their fault, but with this tool in SMP it makes it very jump out at you when you see the text you usually read those highlighted ones. I use it sparingly to highlight flaws or special feature or to see super sized image emphasis.
edited to add I try not to emphasis flaws but <FONT
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #c0c0c0">highlight<font>the see super sized image for best details that follows any flaws stated usually... Don't know if this will work but put code here for that highlight. It may show up in message or as highlighted will see soon. LOL

fenix; you are too optimistic. I don't think it is possible to teach these idiots how to read. I had an email from one of them asking what the model number was & how big was the engine. #1 the Mdl # was in the main title & the engine size was in the description. DUH

I seem to have trouble with ebayers who have been around long enough to know better. I have one at the moment. her fb is over 400. and been and has been there for 5 years. We ship opal rough that we mine in australia to the u.s.a. all the time. So we have long ago worked out the best prices we can for shipping. We dont make any money out of the postage at all. Just the exact price we get charged.

This woman wants cheaper shipping.(yes i know so do we all.) Does not want sea mail or economy mail. Just airmail. We only charge the going rate that AUST POST charge us. She even told me that the shipping rates are much cheaper there in America.duh. But has forgotten that it is from 8,000 to 10,000. miles from Aust to her place in the usa. She cant be told. What would you guys do with her.??

Sorry for the gripe and yes i realise we all have our problem customers. But i seem to have the most headaches with seasoned ebayers. And i always put the shipping cost to the usa in all my auctions at the beginning of my description.

Agate - Personally - I would tell her that the shipping costs were very clearly stated in the auction at the time that she placed her bid. As a seller and 5 year member of eBay she should kknow by now that the time to question these things is before a bid is placed. At this point in time, there are two options available. Either she upholds the commitment made when she placed her bid, or she does not and you file for non payment.

There is no need to coddle someone that has been around that long.

as long as we are venting.....I had one last week. She has not been on ebay for awhile..came back, bought an item from me and flipped out! She bought it, paid for it through paypal, received it. And then sends me 6 nasty e-mails(3 within 10 minutes..then 3 more 2 hours later). I read them all at once. 1st e-mail..she ADMITS NOT reading the auction correctly! Then proceeds to call me CREEP...selling GARBAGE/JUNK....TRICKING HER into buying...threatening negative feedback ...etc. Then she ties up my money ..filing a claim through Paypal. So last week was a tough week. Monday was much better! Paypal told her she was full of ^@#$, item stands as description states...money is back in MY account. So now I wait for the negative response.

Rhpepsi...Send her an email and tell her that you miscalculated the shipping and she owes you another $1.89. That should be enough to send her around the bend. By the time she gets out of the booby hatch 90 days from now, it will be too late for her to leave a neg.

fenix03 I have actually done that. Have not heard back yet. Some people will always try to screw the seller as most of will agree. She is about to get negged for 5 auctions. I always combine auctions to give the cheapest shipping possible.

Glad to see that I am not the only one having a bad week. LOL, one of the newbies actually said that he would retract the neg, now that we have resloved his problem. If he would have contacted me first before he left the neg, we could have avoided the problems. The other 3 are just newbie A#$ H%^&, that expect to get something for nothing.

She replied today by buying another 6 auctions.BIN. THEN SAID. Send me the total and i will pay you with a credit card. and said sorry to mess you around. Doubled the size of the order.

Well, I think it's finally over for me. After being on ebay since it opened actually before it was ebay, I got all my accounts suspened today for unknown reasons. With all the problems I being having with buyers I don't even think I want my accounts reinstated. I will miss it but I still do very well on my website. I'll be around as I enjoy reading the post from most of you all.

thanks to all.

You should not give up!! Don't let them get you. I can't believe that they would suspended you after all that time without a reason. What the heck is ebay thinking???

Didn't they even send an email to any of the accounts notifying them of suspension? They normally do, and in the email they give a reason for the suspension.

The email they send said that I was suspened for violiation one of ebays policy but they did not say which one or what I did wrong. Of course I emailed the several time but they take so long to get back that I am thiniking the heck with ebay and all the problem buyers. I am just so fed up withe the buyers this week then this that I am ready to give up at this time. Thanks for the phone # I may try to call them tomorrow once I calm down.

agate might be right, are you suspended or can you tell. Was this message from ebay through their message system? They didn't NARU did they? Your first statement said you got 4 negatives? Could that be reason you were suspended.
