I received this email today, which I think is a "spoof". But as a new seller, I wanted to double check here. Also, is there a forward address to send this to Vendio "spoofs", as there is with ebay? Thanks:
This is a notification message to inform that your eBay authorization
token stored at Vendio will expire soon.
Your eBay authorization token stored at Vendio expires on:
Mon, April 04, 21:44:16.
If the token expires, Vendio will no longer be able to do *any* action at
eBay on your behalf (example: launching your listings from Vendio to eBay or
inserting your Vendio Gallery in listings will no longer be possible). To
prevent this from happening, please follow these simple steps:
- Log on to Vendio site at Vendio.com;
- Click the My Account link at the top right;
- Click to the Auction Site Accounts page link at right;
- Click the 'Edit' link next to the 'eBay / eBay Motors';
- Click the 'Go to eBay Signin' button;
- Log on to eBay;
- Click the 'Agree and Continue' button;
- You will return to Vendio, confirming that your token has been updated;
On the off chance someone attempts to replicate one or more Vendio pages,
you may desire to surf the Vendio site a while to ensure your content
appears as you would normally see it (the individual specific information
that would be very difficult to replicate) prior to going to the eBay
account update pages.
Below are detailed the actions that will *no* longer be possible if your
eBay authorization token expires at Vendio:
- launching your items to eBay or eBay Motors;
- updating or closing your eBay or eBay Motors items at Vendio;
- sending feedback for your Vendio items at eBay or eBay Motors;
- refreshing and updating your Vendio Gallery items;
- inserting Vendio Gallery in your eBay listings;
To prevent this, please follow the steps above to update your authorization
token.
Q. How do I know that this email is legitimate and that my information is
safe?
A. You can tell that this email is legitimate because there is no link in
this email. If the purpose of this email was to gather your
information, there would be a login link leading to a false website
in the email. We are asking you to go directly to your account on
Vendio and log in as you normally would.
