I already report that income to the IRS. Of course, I don't generally sell personal belongings. When I do, I don't report that income. It's almost always a loss. But, with my new stuff and stuff I buy to resell, it's reported.

Of course the IRS collects taxes. Actually, they rely on you sending in your fair share - and they determine "fair."
